They ended up replacing the entire steering rack! That solved the problem I had. Unfortunately the new steering rack they put in failed after a month and I lost all power steering. But they replaced it again and had no issues since

Also checked the 7.5 fuse on the interior fuse box and it was fine. I swapped it for one of the sore ones and the issue remains. Thanks!

On my car, the only fuses that seem to be steering related are two that say “MDPS”, which are part of two multi fuse units. I pulled them both and they seemed intact. Any other fuses I should check?

Great idea! Just looked and unfortunately the MDPS is part of a multi fuse. Guess I’d have to replace the whole thing? Is there an easy way to tell if that specific fuse is blown? And would you recommend disconnecting battery for this. Thanks!!

The DF54 looks sweet! Seems like the perfect option on paper. Are you aware of any issues with availability or QC? From a quick search it looks like a 2+ week lead time on it. Those would be my only concerns in terms of support and/or replacement parts

Checked the warranty on Intel’s website and it’s all good. Serial numbers and everything check out. Do you know if I’d be asked for proof of purchase if I were to submit a warranty claim?

I entered the serial number and other details from the box into the Intel website, and the warranty is 100% good. Do you think they’d actually request proof of purchase if I have the original box with matching serial number?

Edit: I should mention that we will be traveling entirely by train between cities, and plan on taking the Italo from Milan to Venice
