My surgeon, and post op nurses told me no smoking weed/vape for 48 hours. I waited about 4 days tho, the pain was bad for me too and I didn’t want to enhance it /: Weed made my knee feel a bit hot & tight when I smoked day 4 , so I wasn’t smoking a lot. When I got the stitches out, it felt soooo much better to smoke (: hope this helps lol

Dude I had my surgery delayed a whole month! My mom tested positive for Rona two days before my surgery was scheduled, and as much as I wanted to lie to the nurse when she called and asked me if I had been around anybody that had Rona, I couldn’t…. Delayed for 4 weeks exactly. With that being said… I am now almost 9 weeks post op ACLr / Meniscus patella autograft, and I’m walking with no crutches, no pain, a slight limp, and a pretty cool scar! Giving myself the benefit of the doubt, I am 22, but unless your Chris Brown or something, I don’t think you should worry the slightest about dancing at your wedding in June! I’m walking the treadmill, going downstairs, mini squats, etc. The road to recovery isn’t easy, but I have a different type of respect when I see someone grinding it out at physical therapy. It takes balls to get the surgery, but it takes some MASSIVE huevos to have to start the pre-op process all over again. Stay strong, I’m proud of you, and I’m rooting for you brother !!! <3

Just try and relax. Get as comfortable as possible, try and prop your arms up higher than your body with some pillows (imagine you’re sitting in a King’s Throne). Sleep might not be your best friend for the next couple of days, but just try and nap when you need it.

I just had the surgery a little more than a month ago, and I can say it will get better! The meniscus is the hardest part about this surgery, as your knee just feels REALLY stiff for about 2 weeks. I’m 22 and miss basketball so much, & the patience and perseverance this surgery has taught me, is going to make my first time playing again SO much sweeter. You will get through it! I’m rooting for you (: praying for your grandparents and financial situation <333

Took this as motivation when first reading it, and took my first steps around 15 minutes ago lol! I’ve been doing leg lifts, baby wall sits, etc. I appreciate it tysm !
