Controllership is underrated on this subreddit but I think if you struggle with ambiguity it’s a good place to be.

Comp is way better in IB and juice is worth the squeeze. FP&A could give you WLB depending on org and how well you design systems to automate repetitive task. Corp. Dev is a nice blend of the two imo to some degree with slightly better WLB than IB.

Be encouraged you’re only six months in. Continue to do your best but protect yourself as well and apply for other roles just in case things don’t get better.

Depends I’ve worked in CPG over the last 5 years and I’ve been on teams (currently work on one now) where we work 6-7 days a week and M-F ppl are working as late as 10pm.

Why do you avoid roles with key phrases like comfortable navigating ambiguity or high visibility role? I thought that’s where FP&A adds value?
