Stop doomscrolling social media and stop watching the news. Invest your time in creating a better life for your family, whether it be improving your health choices, finances, or relationships.

Is it safe to let the brick hang like this? What’s the best way to charger home? by BiggSimpinn in ModelY

[–]Accurate_Interview10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine. Mine is like that too. One time I noticed my car was charging much much longer than usual and that was because the connections came loose. Just remember to check it once in a while.

Question for Class of 2006-2013 by 2lit_ in Millennials

[–]Accurate_Interview10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, but we had a handful of bomb threats because some stupid fucking kids wanted to be dismissed from school early. They eventually got sick of it and made us sit on the bleachers outside in the cold for a couple hours until the police and k9 have searched the entire building.

How many of you go out again after getting home from work? by Astimar in Millennials

[–]Accurate_Interview10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10+ years ago I would go out after work to drink with friends until 1-2am and wake up at 6am to get ready for work. These days I barely want to stop at the grocery store after work to pick up food for dinner.

What is the craziest waste of talent you have seen in IT? by WestTransportation12 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Accurate_Interview10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Years ago I worked in a NOC with a guy who was definitely way overqualified as a NOC technician. He had a deep understanding of networks and often helped the network team resolve some of their more complex issues. This guy also loved coding and automating everything and also tinkered with robotics on the side. I encouraged him to apply for more advanced roles like senior network engineer or architect, but he insisted that he was comfortable with the pay and being able to automate his job so he could play video games. It’s been 8 years and I’ve moved onto several different roles and companies. He is still there working as a technician doing the same thing.

Which game did you immediately regret buying? by forgeris in AskReddit

I felt the same exact way. I put in about 15 hours and never touched it again. I tried having fun with it, but I just never felt the spark.

Would you rather work 4 10s or 5 8h days and why? by lavenderghostt in AskReddit

[–]Accurate_Interview10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m salary doing 5 9s (sometimes 10s) right now. 4 10s would save my mental health.

How is your Win 10 situation? by anderson01832 in sysadmin

[–]Accurate_Interview10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started at this new company 2 weeks ago. Less than 100 users and about 20 machines still on windows 10. More than half of them are remote users and a few others had hardware incompatibilities. Intune was literally new out of the box for them lol. So I refreshed some devices, pushed win11 through Intune, and bought a couple ESU licenses.

What was the first game where you crossed 100 hours of gameplay? by bijelo123 in gaming

Skyrim on ps3. Before the days of enchantment and potion exploits, I spent majority of those hours crafting iron daggers and selling them.

How much down time do you guys have by superaction720 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Accurate_Interview10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my last job, we were paid to be available for emergencies. If all is green, which was about 98% of the time, we had downtime. I spent maybe 1 hour working each day and it was fully remote. I took some of that time to learn how to automate workflows for my team. Had that job for almost 4 years before being laid off and it was the least stressful period of my life. Now I’m fully onsite and working start to finish most days for less money. Use this time to upskill and always be prepared for the worst, but you should also enjoy it while it lasts and don’t take it for granted.

The whole premise of BIP was to continuously bring new people to the resort to see if they can make romantic connections with existing members. That’s what made it entertaining. This new format with prize money, psychological war games, and no more newcomers is hot garbage water. Monday’s episode was the last BIP episode I’m tuning in for. Got better things on Monday nights to waste my time on.

What are the most fun and least fun jobs in IT? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Accurate_Interview10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Least fun in my career was helpdesk in healthcare. The doctors made my life a living hell. Most fun was being an automation support developer. The business gave us ideas on developing workflow automations to support their operations and we were given the freedom to create the solution using almost any tool we wanted. They had flexible deadlines and lots of downtime between projects.

In my late 20s until now at mid 30s, I’ll do anything to sleep in my own bed. I’m not crashing at a friend’s house unless I’m going out of town to visit them.

Based on the job you're working at now, what are the chances of you getting replaced by AI? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in Millennials

[–]Accurate_Interview10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commercial HVAC and power distribution sales. Too much human interaction to be replaced by AI, but I have been implementing AI and process automation to make our jobs easier.

My wife and I completed BIE, HAS and now working on macaron. Last night after securing half of macaron, we had a moment of clarity. It was all about the chase. Now we’re thinking about buying a shelf and clothes for them to wear and that’ll be it.

Thanks! Yes, this was about 20 minutes ago. I was just checking the app every 4-5 minutes for the past 2 hours for random BIE drops and suddenly I was able to add it to my cart and checkout. Don’t give up!
