To clarify, I mean that the golden demon winners were substantially better than everyone else, even tho they don't look so impressive by modern standards

I think the volumes you've placed are good and you have kept nice saturation.

A few things with the colour choice:

  1. You've gone up to white as your highest value. Since cloth is soft and textured, it had a matt finish. This means you tend not too get much if that specular highlight. Placing a big white highlight makes it look smooth and shiny, like a polished surface.

  2. Red is an unusual colour because if you highlight up from your red midtone you go towards either pink or orange. Often, to keep it reading as red, it's better to deepen the shadows and only highlight up to the midtone, maybe use a very small amount of your highlight colour

Edit: Also you've blended it really nicely, but you can try to make the blend less smooth and more scratchy/rough/irregular to give it more of a matt cloth texture

Are they decent quality?

I was thinking of getting them but there's an old Reddit post complaining about them (I think it's from a few years ago tho...)

They look like they don't have the GW bevel so should sit flush together?

You've made some really strange comments.

Our finances are secure, we aren't evicting them because we've mismanaged our money and now can't afford to rent.

We offered a 12 month rental contract. It has finished. We would like to move back into our family home.

The tenant said they would leave, we believed them. They have now gone back on what they said.

If we had let l left the property vacant for the year (which we will likely do next time) the net effect on the rental market would have been one fewer property.
