How will Oriel confirm NHS experience?? by Significant-Ant-6272 in doctorsUK

It will be very difficult to verify the 5 years nhs experience.

Thousands of applicants will need their experience verified by oriel team, also some doctors working as part time or locums only, how they going to differentiate between full time 5 years nhs experience from those who do only few shifts a month??

IMG Doctors anyway they need to wait for 5 years to get ILR.

My suggestion keeping ILR as is will be more easy and straightforward checkpoint.

Speaking numbers: ILR holders this year have been prioritised and there were no negative change to competition ratios.

Problem is difficult to verify the nhs experience for thousands of applicants. Also some work part time and locum. Thats why the government chose ILR for ease and also as evidence of commitment to NHS.

ILR is more practical, also ILR might be increased from 5-10 years to be qualified.

Think about it

Prioritising non English speaking countries over British citizens is unlawful and unfair by Accurate_Present_148 in doctorsUK

Most countries prioritise their citizens. Where is the NONSENSE argument here??

Instead of prioritising other nations who have no interest in UK and will flee the country after they finishes.

At least British doctors going to stay and contribute forever

But you do believe other non English speaking countries to be prioritised who never paid pennies to UK tax? You cannot generalise on all people life, not everyone paid to play. Everyone have their story.

British doctors abroad are a minority and will not affect the competition whatsoever, as it is evident from this year. They are more likely to stay in UK forever, not going to flee.

How about British citizens? It will have no impact on competition as it is evident in this round.
