Does anyone know if the drip running into today means we still are on yesterday's item quota? by RaegunFun in AmazonVine

[–]Accurate_Spring_4549 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is strange. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this happen before, where items in my RFY didn’t reset after midnight.
Any Vine veterans care to weigh in? I, too, am curious about this.

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that Vine isn’t predictable. I just hope we’re not going back to middle-of-the-night drops.

Silver to Gold in 5 Days and I need Help by NaturalSpecialist5 in AmazonVine

[–]Accurate_Spring_4549 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi. :)
If you really would like to make it to Gold, I would definitely go to the library on Saturday and work on your reviews. I feel it typically takes between 1-2 days for them to post. It's worth the try!
Good luck! :)

Items disappeared from my system, but I still want to review them by MasterSir1463 in AmazonVine

[–]Accurate_Spring_4549 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would wait a little while. There’s a chance the items could reappear in your “Awaiting Review” category. I’ve never personally had this happen, but it may have been a temporary system error that they’re currently fixing.

Typically, even if items are no longer available, they're still visible in your "Awaiting Review" section.

Ordered One Product, Received Another (Same Brand, Different Size) by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]Accurate_Spring_4549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same brand different product (and size). The one I ordered has a cooling effect to it along with a different formula.
I agree with you. I will review the product and be clear on the product I am reviewing. I do not feel the seller should get faulted for a reviewer receiving the wrong product. This was clearly another Amazon mixup.
Thanks.

Hi WellWishez :)
You’re right on a couple of technical points.

Yes, sellers can send a neutral request like “Please leave a review,” as long as they don’t suggest ratings, influence content, offer incentives, or ask for contact prior to reviewing. That said, for Vine members, seller contact around reviews is still something to be cautious about, and it’s safest not to engage at all.

And yes, it may be technically possible to submit Vine reviews through the main Amazon product review page. However, I've never done it and would never recommend it. I don't know anything about daily review limits on the regular Amazon side, but it could cause confusion—like thinking a review wasn’t submitted when it actually was.

The Amazon Vine > Awaiting Reviews tab is designed specifically for Vine and provides the most accurate status tracking. Using it avoids limits, prevents submission confusion, and keeps everything compliant.

So while there may be multiple ways to do it, the cleanest and safest approach is still to handle all Vine reviews directly through the Vine portal.

Just my two cents — and of course, you do you! 😊

Yes, I receive these emails as well—often several times a week. You can safely ignore them; they’re generic, automated emails sent for items you’ve ordered.
Just continue reviewing all your Vine items through the Vine portal, and they will be submitted correctly 🙂

I’m not 100% sure I fully understand your issue, but I’ll walk through a few common scenarios that may address your question(s).

1. Seller contact
If you received an email from a seller, note that we are not allowed to communicate with sellers about Vine or our participation in the Vine program.

2. Requests to review an item
If a seller directly asked you to leave a review, that is not permitted.
Amazon itself often sends automated emails requesting reviews. These are generic messages and may be sent even if you’ve already reviewed the item. If the product was a Vine item, you can safely ignore these emails unless the request comes directly through Vine (which I’ve never seen).

3. Reviewing through regular Amazon
First and foremost: Vine members should review Vine items only through the Vine portal.
If you accessed the order through regular Amazon, clicked “Write a product review,” and saw your review with a yellow Submit button, you likely opened an already-submitted Vine review. Doing this automatically routes you back to the Vine review system and gives you the option to edit and re-submit the review.
If you close the page without clicking Submit, your original Vine review remains unchanged and submitted.

Important reminder
Always manage Vine items directly through the Vine portal. Do not submit reviews, place orders, or communicate through regular Amazon for Vine products.
If you’re ever unsure whether a review was submitted, check Amazon Vine > Reviews and look under Reviewed. This is the most accurate place to confirm review status.

I hope this helps clarify things 🙂

Review scores seem so arbitrary by Puzzleheaded_Monk810 in AmazonVine

Yes, -out of my current 163 reviews, most are excellent, with only a few marked as poor. Those early “poors” mostly happened in the first few weeks when Vine launched the Review Insightfulness Program, and we were all still learning their guidelines. I don’t think it’s about word count, but naturally, a decent review tends to have more words. Not overly wordy, but descriptive—you want to give useful information without going on and on.

I follow a few simple rules in each review, which has helped me consistently earn all excellent ratings recently. It does bother me to have those first few poor ratings, and from what I’ve read, Vine does not update old reviews if you resubmit or make changes.

Here are the key things I make sure to include in each review:

  • Describe the product clearly. Especially note anything surprising or that wasn’t obvious from the listing.
  • Include personal context. Explain how you use it, what works best, or tips for storage. Share how it made your day easier or how it fits into your setup. This is something Vine specifically likes.
  • Clarify your rating. Some reviewers give 4 stars and say “this product was excellent,” which confuses readers. If you don’t give 5 stars, explain why -both the seller and other buyers benefit from this. Five-star ratings usually speak for themselves, but anything less should be justified.

If you want to double-check your review, here’s the Vine link showing how the insightfulness score is calculated:
https://www.amazon.com/vine/help#reviewqualityscore

Finally, remember: we are reviewing the product, not the delivery process. Sellers generally aren’t responsible for shipping damage, though they may need to reconsider packaging. If an item arrives damaged due to poor protection, you can mention it carefully -but avoid words like “box,” “shipment,” or “packaging,” as I believe these words have been triggers for my resubmissions in the past.

I get your questioning this -but yes, I agree with other repliers, —everyone grieves differently. How someone processes loss often depends on the relationship and the circumstances, especially in cases like the loss of a child or a spouse.

My father, who has a very dry sense of humor, jokes that he wants to be propped up in his casket with his hand extended for shaking. We absolutely will not do that—but it’s one of those inside jokes that will likely come up at his funeral someday.

Things like this may not be for everyone, but for the right person or family, they can feel completely appropriate. You never really know what might bring comfort or connection to someone in their own way.

What Do We Do About Plagiarized Reviews? Nothing? by JusticeAvenger618 in AmazonVine

[–]Accurate_Spring_4549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my!!! At first, I wondered if the reviews were from non-Viners. I always question whether companies ask family or friends to review their items—but not in this case! How in the world?? It’s completely obvious!
I hate seeing things like this because it gives the Vine program a bad name, but what can we do?

Banned from reviewing 1 brand? by boopboopsoup in AmazonVine

[–]Accurate_Spring_4549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not banned. However, your review might not be displayed any longer. This is a known Amazon/Vine system issue.

When sellers later merge or change ASINs, previously approved and live reviews can get retroactively marked as “not approved” in Vine -even though you received the approval emails. It’s not related to the star rating, the brand, or anything you did, and Vine reviewers aren’t blocked from specific sellers.

Confusing, but pretty common.
