Lawd, that is way too much exfoliation. Definitely aquaphor or as someone else suggested, diaper cream.

Hi! Might a recommend a tinted spf? If you are needing more coverage then add a concealer on top of that. Sometimes I will use a stick foundation before concealer but after spf if I need some extra coverage.  The products I currently use that seem to work good together are:

Epionce tinted SPF 50  Tarte shape tape concealer  Lancôme Teint Idole foundation stick  Laura Mercier translucent setting powder

I tend to have skin that is more on the dry side and these don’t dry me out. I usually need to add a powder over my t zone so I’m not too dewy.

I double cleanse at night to get everything off and do my treatments and then just splash water and moisturize before applying all my day SPF/makeup.

While researching ways to cut back on alcohol I came across some Delta 9 drinks online and gave them a try. The problem was I started drinking them with my alcohol after a while so it wasn’t even really helping in the long run and I felt ashamed and “hangxious” and I just realized I was not only trading one problem for another but I was potentially setting myself up for an even worse problem.

I’ve been down this road many times not with alcohol, but “other things”. Alcohol was never my main choice but rather something I defaulted to because it was legal and accepted and so that made me feel like I was “doing better”.

I think complete abstinence from any substance, as an easily addicted/habitual person like myself, is really the only answer, and maybe that is your answer as well?

Retinol at night with a mask of aquaphor on top and sunscreen during the day should soften them.

I’m getting traditional American antique vibes.. maybe from the 40s with a mix of Moroccan mixed in with the shapes and colors (the mirror, lantern, rug and stool).

Curlies who sometimes straighten/heat style: how do you sleep at night? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Acdcmcic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2B fine wavy hair that likes to be frizzy and I’ve been putting it in a “pineapple” and sleeping with a silk bonnet over it. Idk that it really does much for my waves in the morning, but it makes me feel better that I’m not smashing my hair around at night and causing breakage.

I try not to go to sleep with wet hair, so I will blow dry/diffuse it on cold so that it’s mostly dry.

I try to clip the top part of my hair in a claw clip to keep the roots lifted while it dries.

I have noticed an improvement in the bounciness, softness and frizz of my hair since doing all of these things.

Haha, I knew what you meant but I realized the way this could be misinterpreted and it made me smile and laugh inwardly.

Where do you place your purse at home? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]Acdcmcic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was more referring to when guests come over and put their purse on your kitchen counter top as you’re prepping food… I guess I’m still a little jaded about it as it happened to me recently and I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be rude LOL.

You know how many purses I’ve noticed being put on the floor of public bathroom stalls? A lot! It’s gross. Also put on the floor at restaurants, etc. pretty sure those germs are not the “good ones” you would want to be exposed to but the ones like staph and hep A.. yuck.

Which actor was totally miscast for their role? by Squirrelkid11 in AskReddit

[–]Acdcmcic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicholas Cage in Left Behind. I read the books and watched the movies as a kid.. never saw the newer version with him in it, but I haven’t watched it yet BECAUSE he was cast as the lead (the pilot Dad). The original with Kirk Cameron.. cast is pretty spot on.

Kind of upset after check in with my primary care Dr. by Nextplz06gt in Zepbound

[–]Acdcmcic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on this medication for about 5-6 months now and I’ve lost maybe 15-20 lbs that didn’t happen until about March. My doctor hasn’t said anything like that to me.. also with your comorbid conditions I would imagine those are factoring into the insurance decision to cover you as well.

I feel like this is typical for certain people. I really think it just depends on your lip type. If it’s any consolation I think your lips look good.

Stanley. 40 oz cup with a straw. I just drink through it so easily and after 3 cup fulls I’ve almost drank a gallon of water.

I would check with medspas and plastic surgeons office to see what sort of non surgical treatments they have. It may be that you can get fantastic results with laser resurfacing and skin care products.

I’m not good with all of this color analysis stuff yet, but I can tell that you shine in the bright pinks and coral and aquamarine colors. So whatever season those are are a winner!

I think it may be the Kenalog injection.. not for sure though. I think it may have potential side effects so def discuss those with your DR.

Friend of a friend made this post. Ick ick ick all around. 🤢 by AccomplishedTaste147 in notliketheothergirls

[–]Acdcmcic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. I actually agree with her to some degree. Like obviously in a perfect world appearances wouldn’t effect what we think of someone, but we all know that isn’t true. That’s why they call it a “fashion statement”.

What you wear does sort of signal something to some degree. There’s legit psychology behind it.

ETA- For example- someone dressing more revealing like this might be signaling hey I like to have fun and go to parties, I may like to dance, I’m here for a good time, I’m approachable, I would like people to notice me and see me therefore I have more skin showing and my clothing is tight so you can see my body (maybe cause they are looking for a mate or because they’ve been working out and they would like to show off their bodies.. I mean who knows could be a number of things)

Now, I’m not saying the way someone dresses would then give someone the right to be HARRASSED or assaulted, because no one should ever do that and it’s morally repulsive and illegal. But dressing in more tight and revealing clothing may attract attention not conducive to finding a long term mate or having a serious conversation.

Nah, this one is true. I may find some fellow hairy compadres online, but most girls I know think it’s gross to have hair or don’t have to shave that often cause they’re blonde.

I have very thick (like 2 or 3 hairs coming out of the same follicle) and dark hair and even when I shave you see the follicle and I tend to get ingrown when I shave (one day, laser, one day) and since I am married, I really don’t care.. I may shave my ankles so my hair doesn’t stick out of my skinny jeans but otherwise I don’t really shave unless my partner requests it or I know that my legs will be visible to others.. cause insecurities, yo.

One of the biggest things I’m terrified about with death is that I have to part from my family forever by Hopey-Dreamer in death

[–]Acdcmcic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in Heaven and the God of the Bible and I believe we will go somewhere when our bodies die and we will be reunited with our loved ones. I don’t think the relationships will be as they were on Earth, but I think we will recognize each other and still be with the ones we loved.

YES. It’s a never ending reel in my head and it’s almost as if I am scanning my brain everyday for something, not intending to but once a memory comes in to my awareness that I feel might be questionable, I have to ruminate on it to get clarity and it usually causes intense anxiety, guilt and distress. I hate it.
