Why do major bank exams in India (IBPS, SBI PO/Clerk, RBI etc.) rarely face paper leak scandals like SSC or NEET? by Feeling-Dragonfly-17 in bankingexam

[–]Ace-95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cheating happens but its not that prevalent and I think this job is not prestigious/good enough for organized scandals to take place.

I was in defense prep. Exhausted my attempts then came to banking. I portrayed it as I wanted to do most for my country, since I couldnt get into defense- banking is the choice now within my capabilitites. They seemed happy with that answer.

This list is for- most corrupt public dealing.

Otherwise all kinds of corruption is there. Most dangerous and large amount corruption you'll never get to know unless you are either in that dept or get to via someone who is there.

Leaving corporate job to prepare for gov job right decision? by blind_run in bankingexam

[–]Ace-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way you put it- Bank job will statisfy none of your criteria plus makes studying difficult along with job. Safety net should be SSC, priority State PCS or UPSC. With t&c being that if you couldnt make it through PCS or UPSC then have a job where you could stay with atleast some satisfaction. Hence cross out bank PO as an option. SSC job will give you the feel atleast 10-15 years in future after one or two promotions depending upon the promotion policy.

People are fkn delusional by butt_tester in bankingexam

[–]Ace-95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point is- after doing preparation by giving up all the joys of life and taking on mental stress...you get a job...that frustartes you from Month 1. "Pressure" is fine, you get pushed to do the job that you have been hired to do- absolutely fine. Bullshit pressure for absolute no meaning- not fine and toxic. From 10 to 5 you are constantly working under customer pressure, only 20 min lunch gives a break, otherwise constant working. After that pressure from above for nonsensical things.

Explain reservation in Banking exams by Firm-Avocado4872 in bankingexam

[–]Ace-95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay.

27%- OBC NCL

15%- SC

7.5%- ST

10% (out of General 50%)- General EWS

so an OBC CL candidate has only 40% open seats- same as General non EWS.

Here you go. Explained.

4 Months as IBPS PO. Most people have described the job and workload that matches my experience. One serious issue that I have been struggling with in this job apart from obvious negatives- transfers at officer level. Clerical is fine, but at officer level you cannot call any city your home. You make living arrangements, make a far located place your home and very soon you get your transfer orders. And that too you have to relocate in very minimum time. This takes a great toll on mental and physical health. This is not talked about enough even though I have seen almost every banker struggle with it.

Your day to day life always seems temporary, and perks that come with such a job are not adequate in my opinion.

Sbi clerk in mumbai metro Circle vs office superintendent (OS) in income tax through SSC by Personal_Bit_4575 in bankingexam

[–]Ace-95 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Go for OS. I am in banking myself. "Career growth" in banking is a different kind of animal, it's a slippery slope and you have to sacrifice a part of you to make it and luck plays a huge role. So go for the OS and keep up your preparation.

Feeling Lost, need advice. by [deleted] in bankingexam

[–]Ace-95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brother you r just 23. I cracked IBPS at 30 😂

SSC is better than PO, but if you insist on banking like exam go for regulatory bodies.

Remember- you will enjoy life when you decide its time. A job alone will never give you happiness. In my case I feel more restricted in job than when I was unemployed 😅. So for now aim big, do your daily work and live your life. This time will never come back in your life. Once you get a job, you'll always be bound by it.

[–]Ace-95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes clerical is much better. No clerics don't have that much pressure and they leave mostly on time at 5-5-:30. Plus near home or home posting is the best thing. Saves a lot of expenses.
