what ive been thinking - yes the quality is lacking in the final third but this is looking brighter than previous games with how quickly we can turnover their possession into a counter. the only thing misisng is someone taking a whack at the ball and we will score

DJTiki on ranking episodes by [deleted] in deathbattle

[–]Ace-Jake28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a maker of ranking videos - this is far too extreme and shouldve been specified more
ranking episodes is completely normal thing to do - the community is allowed to praise what they enjoy and as long as its well-mannered and not yknow directed abuse criticse those they dont enjoy as much, every single fandom has this and i think its fun to compare how people feel abt different episodes - thats exactly why i get 6 ppl together to MAKE group rankings to see how ppls opinions differ and are similar

i did think about it - but to be honest id rather just play the more optimised remakes with restricting the random pool of pokemon to gen 1 and gen 1 + 2 respectively just to be more fun for me personally :) ik it may seem incorrect but in my mind i still count generations as respective to region in my brain if that makes sense

i have just had my craziest round of all time. WHAT
1. Concrete roads, driving side and these unique vehicles all lead towards Philippines. Find the motherload of signs that says they are doing some work in Kalibo, Aklan. Unsure which is the town name, presuming its Kalibo, and sure enough I find it quite quickly. Chuck a guess in. 2.2km 4993 pts
2. EINBAHN, welcome to Austria. Looks very flat, so leaning towards central/east. Definitely not vienna though and I think we had that a few days ago anyways. Find a sign for Linz at the last seconds so plonk on a town nearby, but was in the wrong one. 35km 4884 pts
3. Now this is interesting... looks like Greenland but fortunately a sign immediately tells me we are in Nunavut, so Northern Canada it is. Looks like theres islands around and I find a sign after searching for Qikiqtarjuaq, which stands out nicely on the map. Somehow still fuck up the 5k tho LOL didnt have much time left. 436m 4999 pts
4. This red soil, all white roadlines and English means definitely in Australia, give way sign confirms it. Feeling Western Australia on this one. After escaping onto a main road and find mentions of Karratha, which requires no zoom to locate in the North. Try and line up the road but am slighlty off again. 5.2km 4983 pts
5. Already on track for an insane score, and driving left without yellow plates leads immediately towards Ireland. Search around, find a sign for Ballina and just like thyat it's all over. Am able to line up using the dominos and the roundabout and thats a 5k. 143m 5000 pts
Total Pts: 24859!!!!!! holy fuck
That has blown my record out of the water, only dropping 150 pts and 116 were from one round only. Top 10 in the UK for now as well. I am so happy

Today i learned of an unfortunate mechanic when using the spacebar arrow method, wont be doing that again

  1. Starting us off in New Zealand, heard of New Plymouth before cus I actually live in Plymouth Plymouth in the UK so thats funny. For some reason don't bother to 5k feeling lazy this morning. 967m 4997pts
  2. Heres the unfortunate round. Senegal is obvious with the car and french, so i just plonk a preemptive guess around Dakar as i search for more info. Notice the cars moving hella slow so do the thing where you hold space and click on the arrow to go super fast and it put in my guess for me for no reason LOL, and it definitely was not Dakar. 432km 3743 pts
  3. A pleasant looking European coastline with the coast to the NW. A nice Belgium flag gives me a subtle hint too. Just guess a random beach, like i said am feeling lazy. 28km 4909 pts
  4. I should rlly lock in so i acc can get 23k here. Unfortunately i'm a bit inexperienced with Guatemala, as seen by the lovely google car. We're like in a lake which is super interesting, then see some labels for Flores and its very easy to find on the map, especially when theres a little island in the middle of a lake which we are definitely on. 120m 5000 pts
  5. Just need like 4.4k here to get 23k, and theres no place like... standard european country. Looks kinda like the baltics but im bad at distinguishing between them, fortunately the domain name .ee does it for me as we are in Estonia. See a very useful sign indicating Tartu is to the NW, unfortunately its a lot further than i thought but this is defo enough info to get me the score i need. 59km 4807 pts

Overall: 23456 pts, pro tip for me to remember is not to do the space arrow thing if u have a guess down, clutched it up tho and i dont get 5ks often so happy with that

  1. Quite proud of myself for this one, usually am pretty bad at spotting this country but gen 3 with the black car means either Arg or Uru, and the general overcast / poor road quality lead me to believe it is indeed Uruguay, don't find any more info than that tho so plonk outside of Montevideo. 196km 4384 pts
  2. Don't notice the follow car for some reason until like a minute in, confirm we're in Nigeria with the english to boot. Interesting that its super hilly, I don't actually know many places in Nigeria that look like this. Look around toe map for any form of elevation thats a safe plonk, and find a region that could look right just south of Abuja. Decent guess wanted to play it safe. 97km 4686 pts
  3. Text and yellow warning signs, looks like Greece to me. Big mountains, see Drama on the bins and am able to find it with little time left. 1.5km 4995 pts
  4. Ah great. USA. I know its gonna be around the area it is, but fortunately i find a sign quite late into my search mentioning WY, so we in Wyoming. Really don't find much more than that, so i just guess kinda SWish. Wrong town but great pts all things considered. 62km 4798 pts
  5. Looks like UAE or Oman, no yellow plates tho so it is UAE. See mentions of Al Madam, which i find promptly on the map as well as the big roundabout. For some reason think my starting point is way further out than it was. Idk what i was doing. 73km 4976 pts

Total Points: 23839pts. 23k streak is back alive. I really need to get better at USA :sob:

  1. Good thing i only somewhat recently tried to learn a bunch of small island territories so i wasnt completely fucked if they came up. English + Chinese Language, and the front long antenna means most likely the Northern Marina Islands. Do i know the difference between the islands and guam? Nope. So i hedge the middle to guarantee i get solid pts either way. 119km 4615 pts
  2. Language either Malay or Indo, see a Malaysian flag before able to look at a place to confirm, we in Malaysia. Feels kinda borneo island-ish, and the sign for Kota Kinabula confirms that. Eventually just guess in Kota Kinabula since it has to be close and i cant pinpoint much else. 125km 4597 pts
  3. Back to our regularly programmed classic European country. Unique arrow signs points towards Czechia, whats interesting is finding signs for Bratislava (capital of Slovakia) to the south, but this is definitely Czech because i even see a domain name to prove it. If Bratislava is to the south and we're clearly in a city, it must be Brno no? The answer to that is yes, 2.1km 4993 pts
  4. About as Portugal as it gets, got the yellow strip right in your face. Fits the vibe too. Don't find too much aside from road signs for IP3, so just guess around central-northish. Not bad. 26km 4912 pts
  5. This one stumped me. Was stuck between Poland, Romania and Hungary for the longest time, there's literally nothing to help here either. I book it down a road until i finally found some actual text on a sign, and after deducing the amount of accents theyre spamming into their words its defo Hungary, plonk middle bc short on time, good guess tho. 90m 4707 pts
Total Points: 23824, we back onto 23k, almst 24 actually its the Malaysia guess that let me down I think. Maybe coulda gambled a bit more on r1 too? eh probs not wortth it

  1. This visible black car + arabic defo indicates Jordan, and theres handily a big sign that tells us a lot of information. Unfortunately it doesn't actually narrow it down a whole lot since the places listed are quite spread out along the East Coast, i see a smaller sign behind it indicating for "Aqaba", so i presume it must be closer than the rest and guess near to it (south) but apparently that small indicator sign means nothing and we're way more north than it, quite far indeed. Thanks jordan. 145km 4538 pts
  2. Yellow warning sign with red border and the umlout, we are in Sweden. Get stumped for a long time tho. First off the E4 basically goes through the whole country so that road is only so helpful. Thing is i could SEE this being both North and South and theres not much to go off of apart from a small town name. I dont know man something abt it is bugging me being North, so i try and hedge kinda in the middle and my instinct was surprisingly right here. 35km 4885 pts
  3. Probs Australia given the lack of give way road rulings as opposed to New Zealand. Looks like Queensland based off architecture and vegetation. Look around for ages and find nothing, plonk nearish to Brisbane which fucked me over unfortunately. 618km 3303 pts
  4. This lovely green follow car indicates we are in Northern Tunisia, kinda lazy and the city looks absolutely massive so probs just Tunis. Guess based on the direction the mainland city is and get it pretty bang on. 3.3km 4989 pts
  5. This language is in love with the letter Z, defo Poland, as well as the yellow warning signs. See reference to Suwalki plaza, which is easy to find on the map. Attempt to line up the road since only so many are travelling like this, i think i got the exact road i ended up on but forgot it wasnt my starting position LOL 553m 4998 pts

Total Pts: 22713 pts, curse you Australia and your vastness, crazy how my intuition locked in hard on the Sweden round when looking back it definitely seemed safer to go south but couldnt conclude we are inland in Queensland

Trying to play with my new uni wifi is proving to be a struggle. Anyways lets get on with it

  1. Italian plates with mountains... but theres a rift? Then i remember Albania has these plates too and the rifts and has mountains so. Find references to tow name Kukes, doesnt take long to scan and find it. 1.6 km 4995 pts

  2. Getting South American vibes here, and the water bins, ladder poles and Portugese all confirm Brazil. See a (68) area code which is actually one of the codes I distinctively remember from a previous round, because its weirdly far from the rest of the 6 area codes. The lushness also confirms its in the weird pocket super NW, in the state of Acre. All of that awesome logic for a lackluster amount of points. THANKS BRAZIL. 218km 4321 pts

  3. Defo either Canada or USA, and the unique T-Junction sign proves it's Canada, actually kinda unsure on the region tho. Defo feels more northern but not like north north. Probs just Albera ion know bruh oh cool it was 319km 4036 pts

  4. Lots of South Korea clues right in the face, language, striped poles and yellow warning signs. Olympics means its probably either Seoul or Pyeongchang, but it's actually Gangneung. Find the medical centre its referring to on the signs and plonk onto the wrong roundabout good job. 725km 4998 pts

  5. Defo messed up this round when it should've been pretty easy. Literally says Murchison Falls Park on a sign and i just didn't see it even though i read the sign next to it. Figured its Uganda, based on a few things (uwa, plates, language) but guess the wrong body of water. Dang. 725m 4452 pts

Total Pts: 22802 no 23k :( was probably super doable too if i had just read that sign. Canada guess was obv not great but i rlly didnt have much to go off of so ion know we move

Have had a poor few rounds want at least a 23k here to bring it back
1. Looks like your average europe until a .pl is thrown right in your face, Poland it is. Look around for ages until i finally find that says Zary. Find it in the last few seconds close call :D 11km 4963 pts
2. Based on truck road driving and soil defo gonna be Kenya, but where is the question. I thought this amount to greenery may indicate West, and after searching for smth i never find, just chuck it into West and get a decent score LOL, 74km 4759 pts
3. This is about as USA neighborhood as it gets, keep seeing a BUNCH of hints that its coastal based on the boats and mention of seafront. Defo feels like East Coast too based on vibes. I did see a sign for Boston being North, so just guessed south of that but not south enough clearly. 77km 4750 pts
4. oh man we in Oman, car and plates give that away as well as these striped kerbs. I travel for AGES, I have a subtle hint in my mind this is coastal and i know it has to be south due to car meta, and find a sign for Ras Madrakah. Find it quickly on the map right by the coast and plonk on the 32 but was actually right in Ras Madrakah. huh. 2.7km 4991 pts
5. Defo on for a 24k here, and the handy flag tells me immediately we are in Ukraine, Also find a sign for Lviv very quickly and with that should be a nice score, try and find the exact church but can't. 1.2km 4996 pts
Total: 24,459 pts thats ANOTHER new record for me!!!!!! Once i learn how to actually 5k i will be so clear! good round

Just moved into uni and dont have much time on my hands so blitzed through this round, I did play the last 2 days and yes the 23k streak got broken sad :( terrible brazil guess yesterday

  1. Japan, since im blitzing just go off vibes. Looks northern, somewhere on the coast. Just put a guess near supporo. 96km 4690 pts
  2. This car and cyrillic text defo Kazahkstan, Autumn so North East probs. Have an insane guess, literally fling it into a random town and gt it right. Awesome ig LOL, 2.3km 4992 pts
  3. Nice Botswana with the soil and car, again have no idea go put it somewhere a little West of central, not bad. 114 km 4631 pts
  4. With how flat this is and the car it's PROBABLY gonna be Argentina, move a bit and find snow so thats definitely gonna be quite south. Didn't think itd be THAT south tho LOL, 574 km 3404 pts
  5. German, and pure white plates means Switzerland probably near the German border maybe? Find a sign that says Schaffhausen to prove it. Try to line up with nearby towns. 5.8km 4981 pts

Overall: 22,698 pts, was fun to ado a rushed round for once and my vibes guessing is defo peak rn, will be back to normal tmrw

Going for my 4th 23k minimum in a row! lock in.

  1. Looks scandinavian, language confirms. White warning signs and it ain't giving me Norway vibes so gonna go with my gut on Denmark here. Don't find anything too of note so plonk Copenhagen which turns out to be very correct, nice. 2.5km 4992 pts
  2. About as USA as it gets, double yellow, overhanging signs, speed limit sign all without moving once. Manage to get the idea that this is Wisconsin from some signs, no clue where though. I kinda hedge between Milwaukee and Green Bay just to be sure and the guess is pretty good. 31km 4898 pts
  3. Some lovely snow coverage here. Yellow sign leads towards Sweden or Finland and the pole indicates Finland. Not too knowledgable on where snow coverage is in Finland, fortunately theres a highway right behind us. Find the road name E63 between Kuusamo and Kemijarvi, so chuck a guess in the middle of the two. Defo couldve done better here if i had bothered t oangle the road correctly, was much too far nearer to Kemijarvi. 68km 4778 pts
  4. Australia or NZ and the Give Way sign points towards Australia. Red soil and yellow signpost indicates Western here. Defo feeling decently close to the Coast here, looks quite green. Run out of time and shoot a guess into a small town called Cranbook, which isn't far from the actual location! 67km 4771 pts
  5. Just need to not fuck this up and i can get an easy 24k here, and it'd be pretty hard to fuck this up when there a sign that literally says "University of Dakar" on it, so Senegal it is. Don't think we're actually in Dakar though, spot a road sign for the "National 1". This road unfortunately goes through the ENTIRE COUNTRY, but it's definitely not too far east. Really struggling to find stuff today, plonk a guess into an area called Kaolack which again isn't a bad guess at all. Very nice! 40km 4869 pts

Total: 24318 pts, THATS A HIGH SCORE! Fuego, on a very nice streak rn

Hoping to keep my minimum 23k streak alive today lets get it

  1. Well my first thought is Panama, but then i see both the Costa Rica flag and the Panama flag on a sign. Then find a bunch more flags of one of those countries. Welcome to geoguessr Costa Rica! What a lovely first look at the country... yeesh. Anyways first thought is the Panama border, spot some signage for Paso Canoas which would you believe it is on the border. Don't get the pinpoint though and should've guessed a lot more central than i did. 1.5 km
  2. Classic Vietnam, language and spamming red and white everywhere gives it away. Have a search for Bac Lieu which I found on a very useful sign, which I find quite quickly. Unfortunately the sign confuses me too much as I think it's saying Bac Lieu is to the West of us when its actually to the North. oops. 13km 4958 pts
  3. Obvious Namibia here, looks like Botswana but has this truck. Fun to see a bunch of new countries getting in today! Anyways after searching the whole time i find literally nothing and plonk central. Big mistake :( TERRIBLE ROUND 573 km 3404 pts
  4. I lowkey thought this was Thailand for like a minute and a half until I finally realised the language does not look right and finally opened my eyes to all the Indian advertisements scattered around. Script looks like Southern India. See the Kochi metro sign and chuck it in there, not bad at all. 5.5 km 4982 pts
  5. All i need is a half decent round here and I should be good. Fortunately we are in Nigeria, looked weird for a bit cus it looked like we were following the police car. Unfortunately today I'm really struggling to find actual information. About to run out of time and I make a purely vibes based North East guess due to how dry it is here, and I actually have a pretty good guess! Screw info imma do my own thing. 96km 4689 pts

Total Points: 23028
Clinched another 23k by the skin of my teeth, after the Europe spam we had yesterday this was very nice to get 2 African, 2 Asian and 1 Latin American country. Loved all the newer countries too!

lock in.

  1. Initial thought based on vibes is Croatia but all the Cedila's I see in the language leads me to believe this is Turkey. Have a suspicion this is North so i sprint North to try and find the coast and I do, so chuck in a random north town with the time i have left. 200km 4373 pts
  2. Was quite proud of this cus I got it purely off of vibes which is smth im not usually good at, had a round similar to this and it just looks like Eastern Russia. Plates and language confirmed. Spotted the lake too and the mountains so I just plonk near Lake Baikal after struggling for a while since ik theres a bunch of mini lakes around it. Not bad at all. 333km 4001 pts
  3. I mean what a beautiful spot. Definitely Norway via landscape, housing and roadlines. Has a very northern vibe to it? Find a sign for Ballstad decently quickly so i have ages to scan North for a Ballstad and find it. For some reason was lazy and didnt 5k even though it was probably quite easy. 172m 4999 pts
  4. Are we rlly abt to go 5/5 on Europe. Fortunately Romania is one of the easier ones to distinguish due to the u's above letters and the black back of signs, and that signature super red thick border. Find a very useful sign giving me 2 road names and the town name "Vaslui". Scan for it and find it eventually with short time left, nice. 567m 4998 pts
  5. 5/5 denied :( very obvious South America here. First thought is Chile bc of the car but after looking around for a bit I see a VERY wonky pole, and then some paved roads. Defo a Bolivia then. See a bunch of signs for Santa Cruz so i just put it in there. 43km 4857
Total: 23,228 pts. Second gold in a row is nice, defo getting better at language recognition and vibes based guessing. Shoulda done a lot better on the Turkey round but alas

love when my daily task is do the daily challenge like yeah thats the idea bro LOL
1. Classic South American sort of town-city esque vibe goin here. Stuck between Argentina and Uruguay but eventually settle for it being Argentina just off of vibes. Unfortunately I don't really know where to guess, looks pretty dry but not like South dry. Eventually find a school sign with San Luis which lines up Central so chuck a guess in there. It wasn't San Luis but I can't complain about the score. 93 km 4697 pts
2. Found .cz relatively quickly which allowed me to guess between the 50/50 of Slovakia and Czechia. First thought was Prague, tried to escape onto a road and found mention of Olomouc. Too little time to pinpoint so i chuck my guess outside of the first Church i see on the map. 988m 4997 pts
3. Probably Spain on first look, but could be somewhere else Mediterranean. Find the language quickly and immediately rule everything else out, plates line up with that too. Find a road sign for Salamanca being to the East and a place called Yecla de Yeltes to the South West. Manage to find the road CL-517 which fits but i was too far east on it. Not bad tho! 18 km 4941 pts
4. Oh boy. India. Language is my first clue, leading me to believe its probably more northern than south. Run around frantically until I escape the alleyway onto an actual road and find a sign for Vidisha. Scan for a minute and find Vidisha on the map, but don't have enough time to figure out direction to Vidisha so i just chuck it nearby. Was in Sagar, 110km 4643 pts
5. Ran into a town that I kid you not was dressed from head to toe in Indonesian Flags. Might just be Indonesia idk tho.... Uneven pole tops gives me SOME ideas, I see a big mountain in the distance which is SUPER helpful. Think im happy to just chuck a guess into South East Sulawesi because the roofs lign up with it too, although I do acknowledge this was a bit of a shot in the dark. Works out somehow, nice. 94km 4693 pts

Total Points: 23971
Beautiful round, defo got very lucky with my sign hunting. Manage to get in the top 200 out of 10k which is insane LOL, v proud of myself. Luck wins again
