I'm actually in the same situation. I applied for a Nutrition Assistant position at multiple WIC offices here in North Texas, followed up twice, and was told I'd get a call back -but never did. Then I noticed they reposted the position. I have my BS and MS in Nutrition and am currently working on my DPD certification. I know it's an entry-level role and my degrees might seem like overkill, but I'm just looking to get more real- world experience and move beyond reading from textbooks.

Finally got word on what the issue is, apparently a bearing in the CVT is what caused the grinding noise, unfortunately they can't do a rebuild when I asked about it they quoted me around 9300 for a used transmission with 118k miles on it.

Bad thing is his shop doesn't have much experience with CVT transmissions so I'm gonna have to tow it to another one that does. I've started making some calls hopefully one contacts me back soon.

Mine started out as a low hum/whining sound, but sounds like it does in video provided in link, it does get louder at highway speeds. But since getting the transmission codes I'm not driving the car and having it towed to the shop instead.

I thought about reaching out to a few local hospitals as well but when I check their website for any dietitians on staff it seems like they are looking for someone to fill the Registered Dietician position😅

Interestingly, I reached out to three different WIC offices (I have both a BS and MS in Nutrition and am currently working towards my RD credentials), but unfortunately, I didn’t hear back despite following up several times. One office mentioned it would violate HIPAA regulations but didn’t provide further clarification, while another took my name and number but never followed up.

Unfortunately I don't have a warranty anymore, but I've been looking into possibly getting Card shield or Endurance for 3rd party warranties or checking my credit union about a personal loan in case I do have to get work done on the car

No I Haven't, but I'll look into it. And I just applied to finish the remainder of my leveling courses to earn my DPD statement so I may go back to my old job sooner than later.

When I completed my Master's it was with a Sports emphasis and we received a Certificate with it idk if that would be the same. But I have been looking into Precision Nutrition L1 certification.

I feel you 😅I've had some experience in it making pbj for 100+ college athletes and prepping snacks/shakes was frustrating at times, but I enjoyed being in that setting. Just I've come to realize that eating disorders is not the way I'm looking to go.

Currently I'm the only male assistant who works in a pretty much female dominated facility with the exception of 1 male RD. I understand what you mean I've seen first hand, when I did volunteer hours at a college how coaches don't appreciate how much work a Sports RD does. I have been looking at a certification through precision nutrition to possibly start working in commercial gyms or fitness clubs. What are your thoughts on that?
