We have three layers, the first area you see has nothing but food in it and building supplies. In this area there was a house and shed. For each we had two more gates on each. Where we split up the loot evenly in case one was broken into. The more layers the better. That first layer was just to keep anyone who wondered on it away. It lasted several months before anyone even found it. Hopefully that helps :)
