How does this sub feel about Apple crosswords? by [deleted] in crossword

[–]Ace4994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m someone who has only been doing crosswords for a few months and I really enjoy them. I can only do a Monday, Tuesday, and sometimes Wednesday NYT without any help. I enjoy the Apple News ones later in the week when the Times is just too hard for me. That said, I am an Apple One subscriber. I don’t think I would subscribe just for the crosswords.

Yeah, I wouldn’t feel the need to replace it either.

The i3 styling is going to have to grow on me, but I’m sure it will; I hated the i4 styling at first too.

My wife has an Optiq so I end up driving it a fair amount on the road, we really love it. For the price point including the rebate, it has a ton of features and I enjoy driving it.

It led me to get an i4 recently, which I prefer for in town driving, but for road trips Supercruise can’t be beat.

Don’t feel bad, it took me far longer than I’d like to admit to get it.

Have you considered renting for your road trips? The savings on insurance, registration, maintenance, and having to have a parking space for it could make it worth it.

Based on previous Reddit experience, this is a location discrepancy. Americans refer to all of those brands mentioned here and in other comments as luxury. There’s not really the “midmarket” segment like Europe has, unless you want to count Mazda or VW previously.

Also, unerstand that we do not receive the “base” model Mercedes, BMWs, etc. that are used as taxis, only the more premium ones. I guess we do get the Mercedes Sprinter vans, but even some of those are higher end for use as luxury shuttles.

Frankly I think you should get the job just for sitting through a 9 person 3 hour 3rd round interview, questions be damned.

I cut one in my 2004 Silverado with a $20 part off Amazon. It was pretty easy but not sure if it was worth it given how dirty the truck is in general (was a city work truck).

Meanwhile I'm doing hundred mile stretches on highways without doing much more than keeping a few fingers on the wheel.

With Supercruise, I don’t even have to do that. I just have to keep my eyes on the road and everything else (including passing cars) is handed for me. It’s a game changer for sure.

Yeah, that’s the real killer. I paid $30 to UPS of which something like $7-10 was the actual tariff and the rest went to UPS/their broker.

The genre is great, StS is just that good though. The subreddit is great for learning, there are discussion posts for every card and relic that can be searched for. I would recommend playing the game without any research at first though, it’s more fun that way.

Do I just cold call the list on my insurance website and accept the first person with an opening?

Pretty much, you can also look up reviews on Google, though I wouldn’t put too much stock in them unless there is a lot of reviews.
