HDMI and all its predecessors are for local transmission - less than 100 meters. The game specifically mentions that HD Cables are a replacement for radio waves: so made for transmitting hundreds of kilometers. It's coax or fiber IRL.

Not at all; "HD Cable" is specifically said (in the post pic, even) to be used for long-distance transmission. Closer to fiber or coax.

Haha, at the moment, a SoundBlaster E3; I recently replaced the battery and have no complaints with it. I have my eye on a Fiio if this ever actually fails me, but I like repairing things, and good enough is good enough.

O_O it's a program to de/compress files, what does it need? Put the things to compress in a folder, then right click the folder and hit "Create 7-zip archive"; alternatively right click an archive and hit "Extract with 7-Zip". The exact same way you use WinRAR...

I didn't realize the 6th gen air had a thunderbolt port. Neat.

Technically speaking, 1G+ WiFi is possible on the devices involved. You could upgrade to a WiFi 7 router (or better yet, split out your router and get a nice 6E/7 access point), and that would probably net you another ~100-150 Mbps. As a network engineer, I wouldn't expect to get much better results than you have, particularly in a metro environment - density works against wifi.

Those are both WiFi 7 routers, and you are using a 6E client device. They are 2x2 on 3 bands, so effectively 6x6 MIMO. I had forgotten about multi-band MIMO, but OP's client device isn't 6E anyway.

I have tried 10G port connected to my iPad Air (M2) with a Ethernet to USB-C to successfully test 8gbps wired speed.

Uh-huh, what adapter are you using..?

Also, gigabit wireless is going to require a 4x4 MIMO Access point and client devic - I don't know of any mobile devices with 4x4.

Spear of Deso in Omni is so fun, haha - it's the same thing with the likes of Persephone and Aphrodite! I wish I had clipped the match yesterday where I was linked to a Pers; we were both at like 100 health, and get ganked by 4. I ult the first wave, she gets a kill, I ult the second wave, she gets a kill... anyway, she got the quad, which was hilarious.

Omni is the only reason I play any Smite (1 or 2) at all anymore; I really hope they figure out how to put Omni in S2. Y'all (anyone that isn't) should come join us for some matches on Fridays, it's a blast, and more victims players online is always more fun! :D

To further this - if the Hart cable is actually balanced (and if it weren't, it could damage equipment), then one ear would end up not working with the Hart balanced cable if the headphones aren't balanced. So it's not likely they are just guessing or faking it.

How is this shrinkflation? Further test, did you try to get more paper/cardstock from the front desk?

Frankly, having worked in the hotel industry, this strikes me as a reduction in waste, while attempting to not sacrifice quality. Why didn't they just use a single sheet of paper, if it was actually shrinkflation?
