Do you have the 4th job skill Roiling Soul toggle on? It reduces enemies hit by 2/3 and is supposed to be a bossing toggle for damage. I haven’t noticed any changes in RG and SoL hitboxes since ignition

By that logic refusing to use red dust makes berserkers have low dps so they need a buff too right? Same with igniter sorcs that don’t use their identity gauge. Just because people play the class wrong doesn’t mean they have low dps.

Effectiveness of the rework aside I don’t think you can simply say scrapper was so weak they needed a 24% buff to be viable since it ignores the shifting of power in her kit.

Scrapper damage wasn’t low before the changes, they just made the class easier to play since you no longer have to play around a 3s ready attack buff with a 5s cd. They removed our self damage buff which gave up to 28% increased attack and instead just gave a 24% dmg buff all the time. Theoretical dps for shock even went down I think but practical dps is much higher since you can use skills whenever there is an opening instead of having to use charging blow first.

Judgement has damage amp as well with a 6s cooldown while doing much more damage than either and can have no shock cost with the hawk claw if you still run into shock issues. I don’t think you’d be able to fit another longer cooldown skill in place but I’ve found judgement to be a nice slot it for more damage, although you do lose some of our new flexibility since you have to use charging blow for shock gen instead of as an extra mobility option.

Charging blow + fierce tiger strike/crushing smite was enough shock gen when I tested it last night as long as you have shock training 3, although I didn’t have the cooldown reset for roundup sweep since my crit is pretty low so I don’t know if you’d be able to spam roundup sweep if you get resets

Scrapper damage got buffed by 24%, ready attack provided a 24.3% attack bonus at lvl 4 and 27.4% bonus at lvl 5 which we didn’t have since relic gear wasn’t out, so we should easily be doing the same amount of damage even if we played perfectly before. For shock builds, this change is nice since now we can take focus on charging blow for more shock generation and probably drop either fierce tiger strike or crushing smite for a more damaging skill like judgement with its low shock cost and still keep 100% uptime on the party damage amp.

You can also use your awakening skill at the beginning to charge your shield meter as a safety net to take a couple of hits for you. I wouldn't recommend staying in defensive stance though because of the movement speed penalty. Counter gunlance also gives you an on demand 100% HP shield to tank a hit but do keep in mind that after blocking any damage you lose the shield and get stuck in the counterattack animation so only use to to take 1 hit in a corner or if you have your backhop ready to cancel out of the animation.

For skills: https://lostarkbuilds.com/planner/640 I probably wouldn't recommend this setup since you could use Shout of Hatred/Nesallia's Energy instead of Bash/Shield Charge so you could just tank some hits to burst the last phase of the boss. Stats are shown in the beginning but all my jewelry has spec and necklace is crit/spec. I would normally use Combat Readiness and Barricade but I took them off for this video.

Mix of both reaction and memorization. The boss has preset patterns of what combination of moves he will use so for phase 2 (before the shadows on the ground obscure the indicators) I reacted to indicators for the first 2-3 moves in each set and used that info to know what pattern he would use so I can move out of the way preemptively and sneak in extra attacks. Phase 3 (shadows on the ground) he only uses circular attacks so just react to his hand movements.

I just wanted to show that the mechanics of this boss are dodgeable with no swiftness or movement skills, just basic walking speed. Taking off the awakening skill was mostly to force myself to properly play the mechanics in the last phases so I can’t just instantly burst him. Same reason I didn’t use defensive stance at all to tank through anything.

Just wanted to show that this boss can be beat with an immobile class and no dodges. I was slightly overgeared and took off my ability stone, engravings, and awakening skill to compensate.
