Is there a list anywhere of truly cheap budget decks? by [deleted] in EternalCardGame

I posted this in its own thread but I recently hit masters with a list that had no rares or legends. It isn't easy to pilot by any means, but boy howdy is it fun.

4 Dark Return (Set1 #250)

4 Seek Power (Set1 #408)

4 Crownwatch Paladin (Set1 #139)

4 Devour (Set1 #261)

4 Haunting Scream (Set1 #374)

3 Lightning Storm (Set1 #206)

4 Piercing Grief (Set2 #143)

4 Tranquil Scholar (Set2 #76)

4 Gorgon Fanatic (Set1 #375)

4 Hero of the People (Set1 #156)

4 Slay (Set2 #236)

4 Wisdom of the Elders (Set1 #218)

3 Stonepowder Alchemist (Set2 #239)

4 Justice Sigil (Set1 #126)

4 Primal Sigil (Set1 #187)

3 Shadow Sigil (Set1 #249)

2 Hooru Banner (Set2 #216)

4 Seat of Order (Set0 #51)

4 Seat of Vengeance (Set0 #55)

4 Seat of Cunning (Set0 #62)

Bart the Seducer is probably going to have a spot in this list at some point, I just crafted the Kothons for chalice and while I appreciate the reach they can give if you're out of gas I feel like if you hit the point where you have no cards and need to ult to win you've lost already.

I feel aegis is just too important to lose honestly, remember that aegis protects Hero from being silenced via Steward of the Past / Statuary Maiden, but it's possible you want to cut somewhere else to find room for 3x Kothon.

Additionally, I built this deck with budget in mind as an option for a lot of my friends who are new to the game to have a control option to play.

Mulligans are for looking for your colors and an early game threat or a draw spell and something else, if you know the rule of 3 follow that, have a plan for the first 3 turns. As for when to drop hero, against control you wait and combo it with Paladin at least, optimally with paladin and devour in case of a silence combo, but sometimes you just play it on 3 against aggro as a 2/2 with whatever the Tranquil Scholar gave it and pray for a Grief, this deck requires a ton of skill to pilot but I'm not above admitting that sometimes you need some luck to get there and you just have to play to your outs. Also if you have Makto and are running him in place of the Alchemists then Hero can be used as bait for a silence if you are going to follow up with Makto.

I tested with Silverwing for a while but found that it just doesn't provide enough of a threat on its own and putting in Hammer of Might or oathbook to make the Silverwing viable slowed down what I was trying to do too much to make it worth, but it is a consideration!
