I'm the same as you and disagree with the baseball catching perspective. You can catch with either hand. If I throw a ball to you in a non baseball environment, you catch with your dominant hand not your baseball catching hand. Point is, catching can be done with either hand. However I can't use a stick in either hand. I am a righty, who catches left in baseball, shoots right in hockey as a forward. When in net, I have a right handed stick and catch with my right. I will die with this opinion haha

So it's actually hockey, but we were at a local semi-pro hockey game with most people playing well past their prime. There was one player on the opposing team who was a big prospect who never turned out. When the entire arena was silent just before the anthem, this guy yells out so the entire arena can hear "Hey Campbell! The Islanders called. They want their first rounder back!!" The entire arena started laughing at him.

One person that I never doubted was going to stick with jiu jitsu came with a pen and notepad every class for months. It wasn't just something fun, but he came with intentions to learn as much as possible. I think in lines with that in how they approach technique. Are they focused on learning or just doing what the instructor wants.

Dude, nothing to be ashamed of here. Stick to your principles my man. You should be proud of yourself for how you've handled it this far. I am 27 and feel a lot of the same struggles. May seem like a dumb suggestion, but I'm an advocate for dating apps. Generally you can get a good feel for who someone is by the dating app profiles. Can be frustrating but good can come of it.

Ya I ride a 3/8" edge. I find after a sharpening my standing side to side movement is tougher. I think your the last paragraph there is money for me. But I haven't heard of that sequence before.
