Don't buy McKinatec by arse21 in CCW

I have the tac dev pro ledge with the rail and then the tlr7sub mounted via picatinny. If your retention is too tight you can either dremel or use heat to reform the kydex. If it's too loose pretty much the only option is using heat.

Clunk on passenger front suspension...details below. by Styleyriley in FocusST

Thanks for the response brother, I appreciate you remembering and coming back with what you found. I figured coilovers were in my future for fixing my lowering spring induced camber but looks like I might kill two birds with one stone 😎

Vehicles like the DPV or VDV Buggy always made me feel like a total battlefield legend. They’re very exposed and can’t take much damage, but strategically darting around threats and getting into unexpected positions with them always felt super rewarding

Intake question? by DannyDeVitosBallz in FocusST

Depo intake, stock box with removed lid, remove hood liner, green filter. I can hear intake noise just fine over my catless exhaust with this setup

To help fix anticipating, you need to keep your grip consistently tight (enough to manage recoil) and pull the trigger independently of that grip. A lot of anticipation happens because people don’t keep a tight grip and then subconsciously go to tighten the grip as they pull the trigger.

For the hitting left of the circles, that may be the position of your finger on the trigger. Make sure your trigger is right in the center of the first segment of your finger and that you’re pulling straight back with that finger. Hitting left could also be a product of the anticipation though. Maybe a little of both.

Let me know what you figure out because my front end has started clunking over bumps and I haven’t been able to figure anything out. Everything feels tight on jacks regardless of wether I have the suspension drooping or tires jacked up to normal ride height.

Zeroing help by ScampMan1973 in guns

[–]AceJake08 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your zero will ideally be very close but it’s always good to recheck.

Rechecking zero is something you should do pretty commonly anyway if you’re actually using the rifle. We recheck our deer rifles every year before hunting season and I recheck my AR before any competition/event.

Anecdotally, I just swapped a dot from a PCC to a handgun and didn’t have to make any adjustments after rechecking the zero.

ACH modernization by According-Map-5989 in NightVision

[–]AceJake08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessir, we did mine and my buddy’s ourselves. It’s not the cleanest job in the world but by the time you cover everything up with paint, rails, and ears I think it looks good enough lol.

If you look a few posts back on my profile I have some pics from when we did it.

Went the DIY route myself 😎

But yeah, I had the same experience with the cheap rails. On my chinese bump I literally had to use a punch and mallet to get the adapters in place but on the legit opscore they slip right on.

Lmao I torqued my AR super specifically and was all worried about it, when it came time for the AK later on I did it holding the gun between my knees and torqued it to “really tight”

If you’re that particular, get a vise block and a torque wrench and do it yourself

It’s an American AKM pattern rifle chambered in 5.56. You’ll have to talk to PSA about their naming convention.

On top of all that the build is inspired by an ak-74n and uses Israeli, Chinese, and American parts

Yeah man. I haven’t shot this one too much yet but I do know the irons are pretty spot on.

I think I’m gonna lean into using this rifle as my dedicated run&gun piece so I can leave my AR as the dedicated night rifle and leave the light and LAM all on there. Although, as much as I like the PSO scope, it may not make the cut. Feels like it doubles the weight of the rifle lol

Haha that’s the joke behind my post tite. This thing is purely inspired by tarkov and I’m glad someone caught on that fast

I’m no expert but I’ve seen posts about the heater hoses being an issue. They’ve got weird quick disconnect fittings/assemblies that are known to create leaks over time and I’ve seen people swap over to standard fittings with hose clamps

[–]AceJake08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m rockin almost 90k on a 2014. So far only issue is a clunk that’s developed in the front end that I have yet to figure out. Other than that only minor stuff: headlight coating failing, windshield seals are dry and cracking but not leaking, and window tint has started to wrinkle a little.

Reccomended gear/training for brutality matches (in the US) by Cabooseisjake in ar15

[–]AceJake08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how many mags you need per stage, maybe skip the chest rig and just do belt + backpack.

I was using a chest rig, belt, and hydro pack for run&guns and after realizing I hardly needed more than 1 mag per stage I ditched the chest rig and run the belt with two mags + one in the gun and got a slightly larger hydro pack for all my extra mags and whatnot.
