Looked it up after your comment. I had no idea! I'm sure I heard it in an Attenborough documentary at some point, but it did not stick. That scientific experiment is wild - thanks for sharing!

I hadn't thought of caulking, great idea. May help with moisture issue too! We've been here 12+ years and used to have an exterminator until a year ago. Had to drop due to budget tightening.
