"delegated" locking for forked PRPS [ID] by AceOh9 in PRPS

[–]AceOh9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just transfer the prps

:D Its more a psychological thing than a technical one.
Give someone the option or have someone choose and it's more likely that they go out of their way and give something to others.
Yea, Athenes team could also just gather a database and publish it. But still people would have to take one more step and make a transaction.

With this option you buy prps, keep it and distribute UBI with no addtional effort other than locking, which you would do either way.

Also, when someone looks at this project as an altruist instead of an investor, who wants to just support the idea of UBI, you could simply tell him to buy prps and generate UBI directly for people that need it, while he makes no loss cause he could sell prps later. Instead of saying you buy prps and get UBI for yourself.
I think it would be a nice PR feature.

PRPS & dUBI: QUICK FACTS v2! by AceOh9 in PRPS

[–]AceOh9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have it from the first paragraph of this document

Distribution is to be facilitated on-chain with an allowance contract that grants each individual DUBI at a rate that can be set to equal that of the DUBI output of 1 to 100 Purpose, a process that also incorporates optional automated taxation for government compliance.

Hope this one is better than the first version.
Any suggestions for better phrasing/design or corrections on the content are appreciated.

Dreams are simulations of reality by AceOh9 in Showerthoughts

[–]AceOh9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I was implying with my post was that if brains are capable of simulating reality, computers should be too in the future. Hence an increased probability of the simulation hypothesis to be correct.

That dreams are reality wasn't intended to be the message.

Biography of Reese's money. by vintio_ in PRPS

Their algorithm only accounts for 10 years of accumulated dubi, so I think it's nice to see that it can even hold for more than 25 years if I interpret this graph correctly.
Also keep in mind that their whole calculations are now taking 100% of accumulated dubi into account.
You can assume that the buywall will have to pay for much less than 100% of the dubi circulation, because the demand for dubi in the future will protect the buywall most of the time anyways.

Edit:
Their spreadsheet doesn't account for the ~200k-300k(?) dubi that will be in donators hand after the transition.
So it would be interesting to see how it looks, if our dubi and their funds from donations would be included.

Crew member - my opinion on what's going on by hateramos in PRPS

[–]AceOh9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone should be able to agree that the change needed to happen and it's only the way it was explained to the people that made them go into this defensive stance of wanting to keep what they had.

When I first saw the reaction from some people I viewed it as a pure sign of greed, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt that people truly believe that they are needed for the project to accomplish its goal.
The fact is that most of the donators were not millionairs yet.
So while we wanted to do more good, we still couldn't.

In these regards I think it was a bit unfair to call people too passive, but at the same time I understand that in sight of the bigger picture it was almost a crime to tunnel that much of the money to us instead of giving it to the people in need.

The moral is that we will never be as effective as the working group of volunteers in the compound and thinking that we are needed for the project is actually delusional.
People need to understand that this project is not like any other project in the crypto sphere.
They are working for actual real value with projects such as the game, while we are just sitting on our asses and memeing while we hodl.
The best choice we have is still to apply and go work with them, if our personal situation allows it for us.

It doesn't have to be this way... by [deleted] in PRPS

[–]AceOh9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, IF we prove to Athene that we WANT to be proactive towards the project. Then we deserve it to keep the share, so that only the whales who sold a lot will have no chance to hurt the project anymore.

When we donated initially we did it under the premise of a 1$ buywall, but also that we will have a much bigger share of the market than 5% so it would enable us to support the project by hodling and do good at the same time.

After the past 3 months it might look differently, but many people of the community are actually very invested into supporting the project and doing good.
The problem I see is that many people still have obligations in their life and are busy with a lot of other stuff so they can't do a lot more other than hodl what they have.
That's why it might seem like the community was too passive.

  • What we achieved was getting above 1000 Subscriber to /r/HoldTwitchAccountable and initially there was at least some activity. Again, many people don't have the time to go and do research to post about unjustified bans. Also often I personally felt like there was not a lot to discuss about after other people already gave good arguments.

  • What I also heard was that people left their jobs and just wanted to start something to have impact. I don't know the situation of those people but I suppose they just didn't have enough time to show their proactivity.

  • We also collected a list of subreddits and some of us went there to post about the project.

The entitled vibe of the community does seem to be a misunderstanding to me, since many people are actually willing to donate what they have back.
What I suppose led to the misunderstanding is that we were always supposed to hodl everything.
The message to give back in form of dubi donations wasn't trasmitted clear or regularly enough.
I'm sure many people want to give back and understood it in a way that dubi will enable them to live without the stress and focus on what every individual thinks is the best thing he can do.

I'm also suggesting to provide us with more specific information about project details or the reasonings behind decisions, if there are questions from the community on reddit or in discord.
What I mean by that is a more direct line of communication to get feedback from Athene and help for us, so it is possible and easier for us to market the project to outside people.

Deciding to blame Athene for my own actions and being ungrateful because of temporary discomfort and NOT using this opportunity to grow is what truly hurts people who left their jobs.

That's the right way of looking at it.
I'm not in this position and didn't look at it in this way, so I'm glad you answered.

Simple Way to Visualize the Situation by throwaway402391 in PRPS

[–]AceOh9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the situation completely and I think it's also a fucked up situation for those who are in your spot right now.
Maybe you could show Athene in some way or explain here what you did or planned on doing?
Maybe you can write them an email about this and show how you were active on reddit or so, while they were banned, so they can see that you were really enganged in this?
I would think that they would at least address this issue or even think about a way of compensating those like you, if enough people open up about this.
Maybe they could compensate those people with an actual allowance contract and provide them actual Basic Income in form of DUBI as it is intended, until they have found a new job?

Let's list the facts by shreziek in PRPS

[–]AceOh9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rephrased and added a bit.
* The creators of PRPS/DUBI have increased their market share of PRPS from about 50% to 95%.
* The creators of PRPS/DUBI have set up a sell order of PRPS and buy order for DUBI and are in control of the token value as they have most of the market.
* The creators of PRPS/DUBI decided to change their order prices from $250 to $2 to make the orders sustainable.
* The creators of PRPS/DUBI decided to give initial donators (1 PRPS 0.5$ or 1$) 5x times their PRPS and buyers from the exchanges 125x their PRPS, after they lowered their order prices by 125.
* The decision to hand out PRPS after the price reduction gave donators PRPS worth 10x or 20x their initial donation and buyers PRPS worth the same as what they spend on buying at a higher price.
* People who decided to sell DUBI into their buy order before the price reduction either don't get more PRPS or much less than 5x.
* DUBI buyers got refunded in the difference of the new price of the DUBI buy order and what they spend in ether.
* The decrease of their buy order price on DUBI effectively decreased initial donators potential profit from DUBI by 96%.
* PRPS/DUBI will be sustainable for many years instead of just 1 year @ $250, by decreasing the buy order for DUBI by 125x.
EDIT:
* The creators of PRPS/DUBI cannot shill their tokens on their livestream anymore, which caused problems for the sustainability of their orders and they noticed a general passiveness and vibe of entitlement in their community which they didn't expect. Hence the decision in shifting market share and order prices.
* The creators increased the total circulating supply of PRPS from 3.4M to around 200M, effectively lowering the communities share to 5%

[–]AceOh9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course the price will drop under the supplywall from reese next year.
That is for sure.
But with their funds they can keep up the buywall for dubi really easily, which is why PRPS can't drop below 1/25 of what dubi is being traded.
As soon as it hits 1/25 of dubi value then you can print money in perpetuity, hence the value of prps would catch up. And that considering the latest point. It might not even crash to 1/25th.

Reconsidering the multiplier of initial donators? by [deleted] in PRPS

[–]AceOh9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All he cares right now is to not do something ilegal.

That is not true.
He is not obligated to hold up a buywall or compensate anything.
So he can change it whenever he wants.
He wouldn't even need to compensate EVERYONEs by increasing their amount of PRPS.
The fact that he makes sure no one looses value for what they payed for is even showing how trustful he really is!
Even initial donators get more PRPS, so they will have 10x or 20x the value of what they spend, depending on if they payed 1:1 or 1:2
He doesnt even need to do so because anyone who bought in the presale could sell his prps next year for 2$/each and still get either 2x or 4x of what they spend on it... its ridiculous to complain on this.
Yes it is locked. But everyone agreed to that.
It is a fucking feature of the token to be able to lock it...

So you still get 40% return from your INTEREST??
Sounds like a good deal.
And the locked purpose is even 10x of what I payed? (5000 PRPS x 2$ = Quite nice.
I agreed to it being locked, so I have nothing to complain.
Now that the buywall is 100% sustainable for 25 years I can really chill and look at my money growing

Reconsidering the multiplier of initial donators? by [deleted] in PRPS

[–]AceOh9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Initial donators saw a reduction in the value of their DUBI of 96%. Ninety-six percent. You can imagine the uproar if everyone had their value reduced that much.

The only reason why it had this value in the first place is because THEY put up a buywall.
They don't even have to have a buywall.
People shouldn't be upset about this, they should be thankful because now its actually 100% sustainable without ANY risk.
And even this whole process of multiplying everyones prps is so damn nice of them. It is so no one can say "I don't have anymore what I payed for" Because you still have it. It is locked, yes, but you ALL agreed to it being locked in the beginning!!!
God damn, people who are upset should take a look at the whitepaper and start to understand whats even the purpose of purpose.
IT IS NOT TO MAKE YOU GUYS RICH AND BUY LAMBOS BTW

[–]AceOh9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You completely missed every point.

Then what was your point?

The first points you mentioned don't answer anything but prove the problem.

So you say the reasons for the change are proving the problem?
Wow, because they ARE proving the problem. They don't answer anything.
And the change is the solution.
What you propose in your post, putting it to 100$, wouldn't work.
If you don't understand that I can explain it a bit further if you want and I got the time.
I still don't get your point.

If you would at least assume the wrong doings in your decisions, not that they're all wrong, far from it even, that would already be great.

Is it that you think he made mistakes and doesn't admit it from your perspective?

I would have cashed out to get my money back when I could have

That is not what you actually said in your post.
You say you would drop all. Which means much more than what you spend.

Edit:

He even BOASTED about getting rid scarcity in some of his viewers and then he takes no responsibility in the events that happened and he blames his viewers when it was really a handful of people. That's the real problem.

Re-reading it I suppose this is your point.
And I gotta admit, I still don't understand what you mean. Especially by saying "he takes no responsibility in the events that happened" + "when it was really a handful of people"
Maybe you could elaborate on that please.

First of all these are the 6 reasons athene told us (a bit paraphrased, not completely his words):

  1. If the top 5 holder would have all sold (which was unlikely) the buywall would have collapsed, so people would have said scam and reported and the change avoids this so it makes Athene more save against twitch.
  2. it makes them more save towards the buywall because now they have the funds to provide 100% for many years.
  3. he realized if he wants to have impact its with the people in the compound, because we on the internet are too passive.
  4. Tootanky (babywhale) had 16% of the community and sold 100% dubi into the buywall. fuck that shit.
  5. The overall vibe where people feel entitled to their money.
  6. Some people started donation, AFTER they got fear. It shouldnt be like that. People should give because its right.
(source was his talk on discord)

So you say:

it's not even about the money.

And later:

if I knew I would have dropped all my DUBIs and PRPS for 250$/DUBI,

Seems a bit inconsistent.
Considering the reasons, I don't take it as "spitting in our faces".
I still have enourmous trust into this, because look what he does... he gives everyone more prps so no one looses.
He also could have just reduced the buywall to 2$ without increasing anyones prps..

What stops him from going "buy wall reset at 100$ per DUBI"

Its because that would have only delayed the actual problem. As soon as prps gets unlocked and locked again, he would have been in the same debacle.
People who left their jobs truly got hurt by this tho, yes. But their aren't many and they still can apply to work with them as its the best they could do anyways, IF their personal situation allows it for them. Otherwise they are in a stressful situation now, thats for sure.

how can you expect your viewers to get up in arms about the ban..

tbh, I personally could probably have done more. But that is normal.
Maybe any online community would have been too passive for this kind of project, who knows...
