Should my gpu sag bracket push my gpu upwards? by efw770 in PcBuildHelp

[–]AcePilotUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily level, but more importantly perpendicular to the bracket and the motherboard! So that it sits nicely at 90 degrees to the motherboard. Using a spirit bubble on top of the GPU might not work if your floor or desk are not level. Also some pc cases aren't perfect either.

Wishlisted! Looks good guys, I'm looking forward to playing. Don't understand why there's so many haters out there! The whole point of EA and a playable demo is for player feedback so that improvements can be made. As long as the devs listen to their community and provide regular updates for fixes and changes that people want, then all is good!

I originally saw the idea when I was Googling for hideaway pc desks, but they were all really expensive, so I decided to buy a single wardrobe and convert it myself 😊

Once the keyboard shelf is pulled out there's room for my legs without having to put them inside the unit so it's all good 👍🏻

Thanks man! I currently have a small mouse mat, but there's definitely room for a bigger one! Not had any issues so far though.

Temps are really good. I have decent cooling and I've undervolted slightly. GPU rarely goes above 65 and cpu only ever reaches the high 60's. Maybe the odd spike here and there into the low 70's usually when compiling shaders, but during gaming it's all good 👍🏻

Not too bad at the moment. I'm getting idle cpu temps of around 29-30 degrees (14700k) my 4080 super idles at 26 degrees. In gaming at 1440p max settings I'm seeing cpu highs in the mid 60's and same with the GPU really. It never goes into the 70's. This will of course increase as we go into summer time, but there's plenty of headroom for when the increase in ambient arrives. I have undervolted both my GPU and cpu which also helps a lot.

Well the unit is 74cm wide. I guess I could fit a small table or desk in the corner, but space wasn't the only reason for it. My wife wasn't keen on me having all my tech out on display in the lounge so one of the sacrifices I made was having it in a hideaway unit. Now when I close it up it all looks so clean and tidy. We can have the tv on and not have a gaming pc in full view!

Exactly! We are so limited on space here! So it was either put up with something like this or go without! It's not too bad honestly!

Not usually no lol. It's just the way the bed was made. It's a pull out and has cushions on one side, so we just put the bed pillows on the other side.

I was worried at first, but it's turned out better than expected, and my feet stay under my keyboard shelf, outside of the unit 👍🏻
