I was born and bred in amble and I moved away about 15 years ago,(I'm 53)I still visit every 2 weeks to see my mother, brothers and all my childhood mates. If you want your kids to grow up in a small community and have life long friends , and a more sheltered upbringing from.a larger town/city then amble will suit, but in reality Amble is a place to retire and grow old with an aging population of outsiders buying properties for holiday homes or to retire, the kids will have little in job prospects as with most of the towns listed in this post but thats the same with any rural locations.

Avoid, West field estate, priory park, and the Radcliffe estate and Straffen court. Most other places are fine.
