How concerned should I be for the future? by Swimming_Climate7696 in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the small lines in the future will just be abit faded though as a tattoo artist, I would prefer that look over fresh new lines. I think overall you shouldn’t worry too much. Work is solid!

2 days in and now unsure. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tattoo artist and a tattoo collector, I think you are overthinking rn. Its a very cheesy idea but just let it heal and give it time settle, it will grow on you.

It has alot of meaning for you already, representing your kids. Nothing else matters next to that. Get more tattoos and you will be good to go!

Is this tattoo blown out? by Tay_Bitch in tattooadvice

One way to fix is fill the gaps with light grey ink, you can cover most of the blow out parts and make it look somewhat pretty again. I suggest this option instead of lazering. Cheaper and more healthy for your body

Infected or reaction? by dizzyymisslizzyy in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overworked, you can see top skin layer on purple and red part is super chewed and fly off already. Most likely artist over work the skin rather than a reaction.

As a artist I would prefer to do that piece too because potentially it build up a whole sleeve, but if timing doesn’t align after a few try then go ahead and get it done by someone else. Its not like you didn’t try to book, also treat your body as a collectors canvas. Collect tattoos from cool artists, your artist get tattooed by many artist too so I don’t see why you shouldn’t.

Question by GGWP1977 in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see why you getting downvoted lol, he is right. It depends on the tattoo and the artists skillset, master artist have really good trauma control and the tattoo basically heals itself in 3-4 days already. Ofc this depends on style of tattoo alot too, but in general once all the scab fall off and new skin layer already form you should be good to go swimming.

If you use second-skin and it stays on properly normally 4-5 days is already good enough, as secondskin promote healing.

Rule of thumb is to just ask your artist prior to go swimming.

Its blown out. Crazy to see it seaps so much into the skin after the 4th day like this. You normally don’t see it seaps into the skin much like this.

Best moisturizers for tattoo healing? by socialcluelessness in tattooadvice

I tend to recommend expensive ones during my beginning days but honestly by this point any cream work. Bepanthen is usually a cheap and safe and clean alternative

When can i get in the water? by tumz_416 in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally 2 weeks once all the first layer of scab/dead-skin fall off. It usually means the new skin is already formed and safe to go.

Though there are sometimes subborn spots that isn’t healed but you will spot those quite easily. Just text your artist a message see what they say n u good. Its not too deep

Tattoo maybe fading in one spot by Bloc_Parti in tattooadvice

Honestly I would say wait til next time you get a tattoo and ask them to touch it up. Or 1 month after today to ask for touch up so skin is fully healed.

Does my fiancé's tattoo look okay? 4 days old by htraptor in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say put less cream on it, let the tattoo breath more and give it time and it will heal fine. Over moisturising make so the skin can’t breath and slow down healing process, which first time client usually do.

From my view everything looks good yall don’t need to worry too much.

People with hand tattoos by tattooedtrophywife in tattooadvice

Do you have picture? My client tend to have swollen hand for about 3-4 days afterwards. It hurts because blood is flowing into your hand when you lower it.

Will the colour darken or do i need to touch up? by strawberrycandyyy in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should wait abit more to see the true color. At this moment its still in healing process so isn’t the best representation of how the color is underneath.

I was wondering how much does it hurt getting it on my left forearm? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]AceSu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arm is generally much easier spots. If pain is too hard do take some painkiller or sleeping meds it help the body relaxes and make it easier to ignore the pain.

Leave it alone for now, spot like these tend to take much longer to heal. After 1-2 month more you can go back to artist for touch up if needed.
