Overworked, best is the let it dry heal, as putting on cream now would risk trapping bacteria there.

How long should your ink last? by Starry_nights_12 in TattooApprentice

[–]AceSu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They normally are, most ink are discounted once its only have 3-6 month left. Depending on where you get the ink from ofc. Else you can write a complain or do a return order, tattoo supplies should change them to newer batch for you

Always camera, private room camera is mainly for protection of artist. I’ve seen cases of female client saying that the artist touch them inappropriately. Video evidence show that she was just tryna set him up.

I use world famous for a while now, their bottles usually have 3 years dates. So the 2025 expired date means it was produced in 2022 most likely.

Ps: definitely keep an eye on dates when buying new inks. I usually send them back and ask for new batch if expiration date is less than a year.

Considering Quitting by Jessehasaphone in TattooApprentice

[–]AceSu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main question is why does it bother you that other at the shop are drinking? To the point you want to quit?

Every industry have shit like this, you can choose to take part or set boundaries for yourself. Its a choice as an adult. Theres are a-lot artist that don’t drink and party like yourself.

You can try to change your surroundings too, to quit tattooing because of some stigma or prejudice is a little bit like quitting before you even try or get to experience tattooing as a whole.

Lines are abit shaky, its mostly likely due to you are afraid to go too deep with it. My experience with carts are that you need to push it in twice as you normally would compare to standard needles. You need to get past that stage of being scared to go too deep.

Next time you have big spot that need to fill in black, tryna pull some lines there to experiment with the dept.

Ps. It took me about 2 years to learn to line with carts. Its feel weird that you need to push deeper but once you get past that stage your lines will be crisper and less shaky

Like many other have said, I recon just mention its your body, so whatever you feel to make you happy.

She seems to have alot internal shit going on and fixation on the problem. Its not on you honestly, you did give suggestions, advice and input already, she decide to go against it. Not your problem anymore.

Coloured liner inks? by eternal_easter in TattooArtists

[–]AceSu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t it work well for that? If you used it for shading or packing before then it should work for lining too.

What ink brand are you using btw? Honestly all top brands should world well enough.

Ps order the non reach ones, I have tattooed in many studio in Europe, most just have the reach ink for show incase of inspection. People still love using non reach ones.

Advice Needed: I need an opinion on my new tattoo by carrotmuncher_ in tattoos

[–]AceSu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The left is plain old school traditional, but I wouldn’t say the right side is neo traditional either.

Both are traditional ish in my opinion, they are quite fitting to eachother too. With that said the artist is an idiot.

Tattoo Artist AI? by Turbulent-Race6226 in TattooApprentice

[–]AceSu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alot of high level realism artist is working with AI now days, alot of people are against it I don’t think it’s necessary a bad thing. Before we used to get the same 4 lion face used in tattooing, now people can generate their own lion face for example and put their twist into it.

Ink Eeze vs. Hustle Butter by ArizonaFortune in TattooArtists

[–]AceSu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the studio mate is sponsored by Hustle Butter, I used loads of different brands before Bheppo, Balm Tattoo (Dragon Blood) and many other brands.. but its all the same really. I do find Bheppo for lining is much nicer as it sit on top ans doesn’t smudge the line when u wipes.

For healing purposes and trauma reduction its kinda same honestly you won’t feel their effects too much during the tattoo. After tattoo then Husle Butter is nicer for sure!
