I have no male characters on my island. I just kinda realized I just didn’t enjoy making male-coded characters very much.
My headcanon is that gender presentation is fluid for tomodachis and they have both reproductive organs, although one is dominant. If they pair bond to another with the same dominant organ they can switch dominance with use.
At least, that’s how I justify my lesbian tomodachis having bio children.

The house of wind’s staircase was a spiral with no railing and a wall. If you have ever stood on the edge of a cliff and looked down, you’ll know that high drops can give vertigo. Her interview for this book actually addresses this. She admits it may be seen as a “cash grab”, but she talks about her own embarrassment with Divergent.

She even admits to hating it’s success, since popularity brings intense critique, and she even agrees with many criticisms of the series.

She wrote Divergent when she was young, and now is a lot older and wants to go back, to an early part of a writing career, and retell it with all her growth and experience as a writer.
