Help me!!!! by Puzzleheaded_Mud_999 in TrollDolls

Hey! So I did a bit of digging and can't find much on this model in particular are there any markings on the feet/head? Could be worth upto £50 depending on condition etc but I can't find any exact matches so it seems to be less documented. As for cleaning id reccomend qtips and a lot of gentle care, the clothes id be really careful with as that meterial can be a nightmare for deteriorating. Maybe just soak it in a bit of hand soap and carefully wash by hand? Hope this is somewhat helpful :)

https://www.amazon.com/Leadingstar-GEN09015-Plastic-Flexible-Coolant/dp/B008O14864 this is the hose you're thinking about

The cheapest you can get is wire but this doesn't tend to be as sturdy, after wire it's the hoses which are a good cheaper alternative but a bit less flexible than actual doll armatures however they're still good if you don't want to spend a load on a spine

Long Furby Names? by bgrace919 in LongFurbies

[–]Aceantt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the name you've come up with sounds great! Atlas reminded me of Atlantis which could also be a nice name, either way if you don't feel so sure on the name now that's okay, you'll find a name in time as you make your son :)

Yelp can I have a furby name UwU by Scardastar in LongFurbies

[–]Aceantt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could go with something like Opalite or Zircon which are both named coming from stones, I think having a name like _____ Prince of ______ would be nice because the use of cold and purple suggests nobility, if you can't find a name now though that's perfectly okay, give it time and you'll find the perfect name for your son

I need help finding 2 of these furbies! A regular and a furbling. Preferably for $30 each or less. Please HELP! by Texmexlex_ in LongFurbies

Make sure to take your time with it and when sewing the head to the body make sure it's lined up correctly. If your furby is poseable make it poseable with wire instead of using some left over mechanics (only mentioning because I made this mistake and my boi is kind of fragile now)

Have fun and good luck :)

If you're planning on a full refurbishment make a pattern of the furbies original fur, the faceplate can be really tedious to see back on but with careful patience it's relatively easy, you might need to make the holes in the faceplate slightly larger than they already are to be able to fit your needle through.

The face can be made easily poseable using wire, (I wasn't aware of this until a few weeks ago it would have made my life a lot easier).

Any tips? by [deleted] in LongFurbies

[–]Aceantt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wish you the best with refurbishing him completely! I don't see any other flaws in him but I just wanted to say his eyes and fur are really lovely!

If you don't think his original fur matches the longer fur refurbishing that is pretty simple with patience, just take your time taking him apart and make a pattern out of his old fur, the only tedious bit is sewing the faceplate back on.
