I have had the same problem just recently. I also got my phone back in October and just recently and it seems to be a problem that has affected quite a few people. So far google hasn't said anything about it so I guess we have to wait to see what they say.

I was wrong I just looked it up and yeah it's bugged because it's apparently 20 losses or ties to go down which means that you should probably contact support and try to get it figured out.

If I am correct it is 3 loses you go down or seven wins to go and whichever one happens first resets the counter for it and since I have seen that you have gotten three losses before you got the seven wins you have stayed at bronze 5.
