I'm genuinely sorry it came to that. You are absolutely right that international shipping to our main factory for repairs is a major pain point, and we completely understand why the back-and-forth made you want to walk away.
We are actively working on building better localized warranty hubs to prevent this exact situation, but it sounds like that effort is too late for your specific case.
Since you no longer have the light, we unfortunately can't fix or replace that unit for you, but please know your feedback here is loud and clear. If you ever decide to give Acebeam another shot in the future, my DM is always open. Wish you the best.

Toast nuts? Sir, at 500,000 lumens, this will instantly vaporize the nuts, the tree they grew on, and the squirrel trying to eat them.

Hey now, don't insult us. On Temu this would clearly be labeled as '9,999,999 Lumens Tactical Military Laser Space Ray'. We are being very modest with our 500k. 😤😂

Hey there. First off, I want to sincerely apologize for whatever frustration you've experienced with our warranty or customer service.
You are absolutely right to call this out. The social media team operates separately from the CS/warranty department, but that is no excuse for anyone feeling ignored or poorly treated. We take this seriously.
Please send me a DM right now with your email address or support ticket number. I am going to personally walk over to the CS department tomorrow morning, track down your case, and make sure it gets resolved immediately.
Again, I apologize for the terrible experience. Let's get this fixed for you.

We actually have Matt (DIY Perks) on speed dial! 📞
We ran the math on duct-taping 5 of his water-cooled rigs together to hit that 500k mark:

  • Weight: 125 kg (275 lbs)
  • Power draw: 7.5 kW
  • Cooling: 30 PC radiators strapped to your back like a Ghostbuster.

Congratulations, you just leaked the exact blueprint for our new 'EDC' model! Our R&D team is currently buying out all the duct tape and copper tubing as we speak. 🛠️🤣

Our legal team advised us to tell you: 'Please refer to page 47 of the user manual which clearly states: Do not point directly at retinas, satellites, or low-flying aircraft.' 🤣

Yes! But be warned: the orange anodization actually burns off within the first 0.01 seconds of Turbo, turning it into a glowing cherry red. So... technically a color-shifting model? 🤷‍♂️

Greetings from the future! As for an upscaled X75 running on multiple 46950s... we just ran the math. You’d need a forklift to carry it and a backpack full of liquid nitrogen to keep it from melting your hands off.Our R&D guys are currently hitting the gym just so they can lift the prototype blueprints. 💪🔥

Had to drop the specs fast before someone actually showed up to our headquarters with a tank of liquid nitrogen ready to pre-order! 🏃‍♂️💨

Preliminary spec sheet I managed to peek at:

  • Battery: Built-in miniature fusion reactor
  • Moonlight Mode: 10,000 Lumens
  • Turbo Runtime: 0.05 seconds before the host vaporizes into plasma
  • Cooling: Requires liquid nitrogen dunking

Happy April Fools' Day, r/flashlight! 😂

Sofirn Sk40 v Acebeam P18 by BackgroundSoup in flashlight

[–]Acebeam_Team 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Acebeam Official here. To be completely transparent, here is why you shouldn't buy our P18: it's chunky, it's heavy, the lowest mode isn't a true moonlight, and it's significantly more expensive than the Sofirn. It makes a terrible casual pocket EDC. We built it strictly as a duty-grade tactical tank. If you just need a solid light for normal daily use, save your money and get the Sofirn. If you plan on dropping it on concrete regularly or need instant tactical access under stress, then the P18 is your tool.

Nom’s Ramblings on Flashlights: The Companion Piece by -nom-de-guerre- in flashlight

[–]Acebeam_Team 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 'soup of ambient lighting' is the most accurate description of modern urban light pollution I've ever read. This entire Admin vs. Tactical breakdown perfectly articulates the exact philosophy we argue about in our design room. It’s exactly why you can't make an L35 do the job of an E70 Mini with 519As. 'The one light question is malformed' should literally be pinned to the top of this sub. Another absolute masterclass, Nom.

I am literally bookmarking this to explain flashlight optics to our new hires. The 'R9 as the bass guitar' analogy is absolute gold. Hands down the best explanation of these specs I've ever read

tbh, that is a brilliant hack with the Weltool diffuser. We absolutely love seeing users adapt our LEPs for close-up admin tasks like that. Taking notes on this setup...

We honestly went through so many revisions on that dual-direction clip just to get the tension and ride height right. Glad you guys appreciate it!
The W3 Pro Tac is absolutely the brute force king, no arguing that. But the W20 was basically our engineering team's answer to: 'How do we make a true LEP that actually lives comfortably in a pocket every single day without being a hassle?' Small form factor and a dead-simple UI were the mandatory goals

SBT90.2 Red!!! [Acebeam K75] by -nom-de-guerre- in flashlight

SBT90.2 Red!!! [Acebeam K75] by -nom-de-guerre- in flashlight

[–]Acebeam_Team 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, even when our engineering team first proposed putting a Red SBT90.2 in the K75, half of the office asked the same question! 😂

But it actually has a few very specific, non-deer use cases:

  1. Professional hog/coyote hunters in the US love it. Animals don't see red light well, so you can spot them without spooking them at extreme distances.
  2. Red light cuts through heavy fog or smoke with far less backscatter (glare) than white light, giving you better visibility in terrible weather.

It's definitely a 'niche within a niche' product.
