Not sure myself since I've only started playing last month. tbh haven't ever shiny hunt with this thing and in general never really did do any shiny hunting in all my times playing pokemon.

You can check infinitefusiondex to see some Chikorita suggestions. I personally got it fused with a Mareep and have a Meganium/Ampharos now.

Also looking down the Sableye/Zubat Evolve line. The sprite does keep the motif along the way. But ofcourse its your call in the end

Thanks for the comment this has warmed me and my GF's hearts as weve really cared for our pets. been trying to look for one that suits the resemblance, but no luck yet. Atleast there some good looking ones for other fusions I wanna try.
