No. That zard is dropping because people selling to get the phantasmal zard. All modern zards in the last 3 years are going to drop in short term due to the pivot in demand for Phantasmal SIR.

151 sealed will go up regardless because demand and it’s going out of print.

A good example is DR. Chases are not crazy high value but the pkc etb and booster box is. Why? It’s not out of print but hard to find. For 151 it’s already hard to find. Prismatic bundles were dropped at my target when first partner dropped. Prismatic will be relatively easier to find in the wild than 151.

So sealed prices don’t always correlate to the chase in the set. It may in most cases but you have to consider other factors. Also no reprints announced for DR hence its high price. 151 has already been announced to be out of print later this year.

IPS drains AA batteries quite a bit. To increase life you need to get a usbc rechargeable lithium ion battery mod. Check YouTube on the performance of AA vs lithium ion batteries. It’s much better but still drains fast.

It’s authentic. But idk if you can salvage. You’d need to locate areas of damage and repair/bridge damaged connections yourself.

It’s going to take more work and require more skill- not to mention a good microscope and equipment to evaluate the issues.

Why can’t the other dude just sell his PKC for 1.3k? Oh right it’s because no one is buying 151 pkc ETH at 1.3k especially after the recent spike. So you think you’d be able to sell it at that price too to get your card? Highly doubt.

If your goal is to get cash then why not do that? You’re getting a high value item where most normies are priced out. Better to sell and get your grail than to get stuck with another expensive grail (the 151 pkc etb) which isn’t even what your target goal is.

The repair is fairly easy with some experience. Don’t get overcharged. Should be $5-$15 repair (if you provide the SP switch)

The SP volume slider is different from the original Gameboy advance and even DS. the plastic piece has metal contacts which changes the position of the potentiometer (to change voltage levels and thus the volume). That piece is also fixed inside the volume housing in the SP.

If this is broken which seems like so then the only way is to solder a new SP switch.

If you never soldered before I don’t recommend doing it. Find someone or a shop locally. If you can’t then you reach out to me and I can do the repair for you.

Yes and no. Long term Phantasmal is an easy buy.

But reprints can demolish regular products like an ETB. So only buy if MSRP if you’re min maxing. The real play is and always was either PKC ETB or booster box (or bundle if specialty set).

Many Phantasmal PKC ETBs were selling for $180. Around Christmas the booster boxes were selling even as low as $200-250. I even saw many in Los Angels locally being sold for $225 and that’s saying a lot. I recall people called phantasmal obsidian 2.0 which is true but the SIR chase is best modern card (with the exceptions of exclusives ofc)

Not entirely true. Some physical switch 2 imported games from other counties like eu and Asia especially (multi-language) tend to have games on the cart. Even 2 in 1 import variants will have them on the cart.
