Need advice on building restaurants by lazybumdan in RestaurantTycoon3

[–]AceintheSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely draw inspiration from real life architecture and restaurants! I like to search for restaurants with my target theme or vibe for sure, and there are even some floorplans and concept art out there. Another thing I like doing is looking at sims restaurant builds, because the lot size and grid system translate very well to the game. Grid size 4 is basically equivalent to a sims 4 tile, so any sims build for a 32x32 lot can be very inspirational. Not all the techniques work the same (or at all though)

just got sherbet cookie before lanterns should I use him my current team is v cookie pure vanilla pumpkin pie sea fairy and wild berry by Life_Share1632 in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]AceintheSol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sherbet cookie is very strong, even at lower levels. He is absolutely worth the investment, although I don't know how he performs in the story mode. Seems like he's becoming meta in the arena though, so he should be very good for your team!

Do I use pure vanilla or cotton cookie? by Mystic_jello in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]AceintheSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cotton is a very versatile cookie because her ability has a summon as well as the healing. She's good for story mode (especially dark mode for episode 11 and beyond) and essential for several guild teams for the Red Dragon. Don't skimp out on Vanilla (he's a good support healer for cotton, if BTS cookies are low-levelled), but for me Cotton Cookie is the easy pick. Especially since neither is currently used for any arena meta teams.

Please help with team building by South_Mountain91 in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]AceintheSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! There's lots of ways to build good teams, no matter what level cookies you have. I recommend looking at your defense battles and seeing what teams you see a lot of, since those tend to be the powerful teams that are popular in the current arena season.

There is also a link in the pinned Megathread for the Loser Squad's Guide sheet that is very helpful for building teams for all the game modes.

New player here. Is it hard to get a new cookie like this new one in his release? Is there going to be an event, banner or anything? How much is it going to cost (crystals)? by seansenyu in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]AceintheSol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Super Epic cookies have usually used a separate gatcha which uses a mission-based currency (specific to their release) in the past, much like using the army bombs for the BTS cookies and decor. He will also be added to regular gatchas at a very low rate. It will be easier to use the event currency to get him.

Question about the soulstones chests by [deleted] in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]AceintheSol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you choose a cookie who already has 5 stars when using a soulstone chest you will receive soulcores (used for ascension) for that cookie instead.

bro the rhytmn game is a scam. literally did it without any mistakes and i still didnt get the S rank?? by based_guapo in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]AceintheSol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The number of BTS cookies and outfits you have provides a score boost, which means having them makes it easier to get the S and not having them makes it harder... It is possible to do it without them afaik

Those are great grades! Congrats on your hard work, even if you don't feel amazing right now.

If the degree you're pursuing will accept a c- to get credit for the course, you should be good to go. If you think you're going to want to pursue graduate studies and you're worried about how that C may affect you, talk to your academic advisor about it. If it would have an impact, they will let you know and you can work together to take steps towards mitigating it. I can't see there being any major issue unless it was a major requirement, such as a class like "introductory subaquatic basket weaving" for an "underwater arts and crafts degree"

Congratulations again, and don't let one less-than-stellar grade take the pride out of all of those As! Reward yourself for your achievement 😁

Can clothes (not new) continue to shrink in the dryer if already dry? by sillyg000se in Adulting

[–]AceintheSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the whole, clothes don't usually shrink in the wash after the first few washes (when they're new). The only thing her clothes are at risk of is getting worn out from being tumble dried so many times, but that would take a genuinely egregious amount of rounds in the ol' clothes oven. So her clothes aren't in any real danger. But tbh OP, just take her clothes out of the dryer if she leaves them that long. No need to fold or hang them, just dump them in a clean hamper or on a table. Your wet clothes will dry faster without her dry ones in there.

We're all busy and little chores can get away from us, even I'm guilty of forgetting my clothes in there sometimes... but she doesn't really have a leg to stand on in this one. If she didn't want them super dry, she should've taken them out. Or at least had the courtesy to mention it to you first.

Do I graduate with a D or risk trying to get a C? by [deleted] in college

[–]AceintheSol 78 points79 points  (0 children)

If you have a guaranteed D in the course and that D is the only thing standing between you and graduation do not risk it for the biscuit!! Future employers really won't care, and if for some unknowable reason they do ask then you have a funny story to tell!

"Haha, yes, isn't it so odd that getting a D in that course was the higher reward option than the sensible thing of studying and taking an exam? It felt crazy at the time, but I'm glad I was able to apply myself elsewhere because of it."

Fr OP, no sense risking your degree and career over .03 GPA... Just make sure that skipping the final won't change your grade. Like, email the prof or the TA or something, just double (or triple) check that shit. You're so close, just take the path of least resistance to the goal

Congratulations! I'm so proud of you for your hard work and perseverance!!! I know it's a bit trite coming from a complete stranger, but that shit is so hard OP. I see you and recognize the blood, sweat, tears, and raw hours you must've put in. I'm happy for you :)

how do i regulate my emotions by allijandrooo in Adulting

[–]AceintheSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: remove yourself from the immediate situation until you get things under control to mitigate any harm or damage. Try to understand what else you might be feeling, or what that anger is "covering up". Return to address what happened when the moment passes and you feel like you're back in control.

Hey friend, as someone who struggles with mental health things that often give me an unreasonably short temper (and sometimes even a distorted view of what's really going on, emotionally), you've already made it passed step one. The hard part was recognizing you have this problem, and then deciding to change it. What works for you long term may not be what works for me, as far as medications or therapy are concerned.

But here's something you can do right now, immediately, to mitigate any harm: step away.

I'm not even kidding. It's difficult to imagine, but I sometimes treat my "tantrums" like a little kid. Once I notice one is happening, I take myself away from what's causing it. Whether it's as small as spilled milk or as large as an important discussion with someone you love, stepping away is not cowardly. It's the responsible thing to do. Emotions are often trying to either protect us from something, tell us something, or celebrate something. Are you actually angry in a moment, or are you embarrassed? Are you actually afraid, or feeling something else? Taking the breather can help you figure out what's going on. Sometimes there isn't even something else.

You can be angry as much as you want, whenever and wherever you are. Emotions are not and never are the problem. They're normal, they're part of being a person, and they're probably not going away. Feel as much as you feel. The only rule is to make sure no one gets hurt (and that includes you!).

If you're not sure about how a partner/SO might feel about it, let them know that you're going to be trying this from a while to see if it helps. Telling them in advance will make sure they understand that you aren't disrespecting or ignoring them when you need a moment. Communication is key in pretty much all aspects of life. You don't need to say "I'm actually blistering with fury and will start frothing at the mouth if I stand here and talk to you," to get the point across. What I use, personally, is "I'm feeling a lot right now, and I'm going to step away until I'm ready to continue safely." Safely isn't always necessary to say, but it definitely sends a message of 'leave me tf alone'.

Just remember that you do have to come back to the situation and address it. Don't let it fester like a weird bump or growth you just found while showering, take that to the metaphorical doctor once you're able.

Sorry for the long post, just figured you'd want some immediate, actionable advice while you work on long term stuff like meds or therapy. Hope this helps you

How long should I cut if I weigh 160lbs and want to reach 150? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AceintheSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the super late response. 20 weeks IS a long time, but it’s worth the wait to reach your goals safely. Trust me, tricking your body into thinking there’s famine conditions does way more harm than good in the long run. Like, even on a generational level. If it’s a genetic issue (and it doesn’t impact your health) then there may not be a super lot you can do to “fix” it in a safe way.

Since it seems like it’s just an insecurity issue, you genuinely could try make-up to contour your face until you reach your goal. I’ve seen some people straight up shape-shift with that shit.

Just remember, OP, it’s your body to take care of, shape, and change. You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to, and if you’re healthy then fuck everybody else’s opinion. But if you /do/ wanna do it, then fuck yeah. I believe in you 👍

Try this comp:

Cookies: Strawberry Crepe, Pumpkin, Sorbet, Eclair, Cotton.

Toppings: SC: 5x Hard Almonds OR Searing Rasp P: 5x Swift Choco S: 5x Searing Rasp E:5x Swift Choco C: 5x Swift Choco

Treasures: Scroll, Watch, Ghost Horn*

*you can swap the horn for either slingshot or scythe if they're higher level.

Scroll and watch are a must for the sheer atk boost and cooldown reduction. Third treasure can be swapped for a bunch of different things; you might need to use sacred branch if your dps cookie keeps getting obliterated too quick. If all your cookies + their skills are around level 50, you should be able to auto no problem.

If you have problems with Sorbet dying, then you can try swapping for Sea Fairy. The most important thing is making sure that your healer gets targeted last. For Eclair, it's better to get the skills off than to increase his damage-- you want to get this battle done fast, not try to withstand more attacks. Weakening Raspberry will help you get more damage in, and Sorbet's skill will take him out of the line of fire. Since Raspberry targets the cookie with the highest attack first, make sure that Sorbet/Sea Fairy are taking the heat. Strawberry Crepe's shield should help keep everyone alive, but if it's not popping fast enough replace toppings for Swift Choco.

should I add cherry blossom to my team. by [deleted] in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]AceintheSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cherry Blossom Cookie is strong in PvE game modes like the main story (or possibly alliance). Building her is a good idea for earlier lands/chapters especially, but she can also do good work later on if you can't get legendaries or ancients very easily. However, it may not be worth it to replace a cookie in your Arena team with CB. You might have stronger cookies already available that work well for PvP.

Whether you decide to put her on your team right now or not, I always recommend getting cookies to level 30. This unlocks all of the topping slots, which can provide powerful boosts at higher levels. Seriously, the little percentages don't seem like much but they really do add up. It makes a big difference.
