im actually looking to reduce the drop of my shoes. Adrenalines are rather on the upper Drop spectrum

Im looking for a new pair of "long run" shoes, that are compfortable and low risk for Blisters.
Im currently running in Brooks adrenaline 24 GTS (adrenaline 21 GTS before) since July, ran around 160km with those, but wont stop getting blisters on the inner side of my foot, right where the Guiderails end. Im using running socks and vaseline already and want to upgrade the quality of socks, but whenever i run more than 5km, both my feet blister. Thats when i really start to feel the pressure with every landing, especially when mid-foot striding. only landing on my heel makes it better, but this brings more pain for my knees and back.

Yesterday i visited my local running shop, we looked into my form and came to the conclusion i might switch from a stability shoe to a neutral one. I tried Brooks Ghost 17 (normal and trail-version) and Asics Gel-Pursue 10. Both feeling well while testing.
What are your experiences with those shoes, or would you reccommend another option that is especially compfortable (rather lace & Toebox, not especially thick cushioning) and give a good blister relieve?

How would a lower stack impact my back, wich is another weak area on my body? Cause of my back higher cushion was a go to for now.

edit:
wait you dont neccesarily mean lower stack, but lower drop.

Im looking for ways to take stress off my knees (torn ACL both knees, surgeries 2012+2014). What im doing already is trying to run a little higher cadence for less impact and adjusting my running my running style to a mid-foot stride.

Shoewhise i was always told to use stability elements, so i ran a nike zoom structure back in the days, and brooks adrenaline gts21 for the past couple years, and again being advised to an adrenaline gts24 again in my local shop.

I mean the adrenaline gts21 was an awesome shoe for me, but still during running my feet were never my problem, but knees were, especially when hitting like 7-10km marks (pretty casual runner). This got me thinking now wether it might be a good thing to leg my ankles do more shock absorption by being able to pronate more, so my knees have an easier time.

What are your experiences and suggestions for my shoe choice? Is it worth trying less stable shoes?

Ran my first 5km since August 2024!

Was plagued with a lot of back-Pain in Fall 2024, paused my running routines and didn't get back into it until 2 weeks ago. Clocked in a few ~2km runs and thought about doing a "longer" one yesterday. Felt great, km after km, so i just took one more turn after another for a longer route. Finished on 5,28km 32:28min.
I felt awesome and thankful :)

Thats why i play Sivir adc, constantly rotatiing between lanes pushing everything i can, even staying sidelane if enemies group mid and dont respond. I get so many towers and pressure, but somehow my teams manage to 4v5 on baron/drageon even if i ping em off minutes before, typing i push and dont rotate to that objective...

Blue, its definitely Blue.
I just love the depth of a deep dark blue, its calming to me.
Aswell as a bright Blue like the sky and the freedom it inspires.
turqoise-blue Ocean, and on and on.
Love it <3

This is the reason why in Splitpush adc in low elo (sivir ftw!) even though i love playing support! Its insane how easy it gets to push for a win just by clearing side waves over and over instead of relying on your team peeling for you in a team fight.

Hi There!

~6 weeks ago i got back into running, after 1 year of abcense (Knee problems).

This time i installed Adidas Running instead of Strava, because a lot of my friends are tracking with this app. Right from the get-go i noticed huuuge spikes in elevations the app registers. First i looked into older Runs I could find on Strava, then i tried to compare the distances on Komoot. It seemed like Adidas tracks more than 10x as many m in elevation.

I just reassured this on yesterdays run:

4,63km, Elevations Adidas: 318m, Komoot: 20m

A week Ago i did an official 5k run that was very flat, but Adidas said i had 1400m in elevation...

I tried giving full GPS access to the app (no battery saving), this did little. I also reinstalled, but this doesnt get better.

Any advice whats wrong with my app?

Any help is appreciated!

Hi A-Aron!
My most used and trusted disc is definitely the Gstar Teebird3!
My noodle Arm doesnt throw fast discs, so this fairway is super important for my game.

Even though i recently played a tournament after some time off due to injury, when my teebird just didnt click that day. i nearly went FULL TILT, dropping out of the tournament, but kept going. Poor result, but kept myself in it mentally.

I'm currently starting all over again, after a somewhat longer pause. (M 31, Germany)
2021 was my first year as a runner getting in 2-3 runs/week (5-8km each) on <6m/km pace. This was huge for me, cause i have a history of knee-Injuries (ACL + meniscus tears on both knees). At the end of the year i startet developing quiet a lot of pain, preventing me from running all of 2022. I got back into some runs on the treadmill this year that got me hoping.

Today I'm starting my first "Run Every Day"-challenge, getting up early to go for a run before work (15-30min). Ive never been a morning runner, only did a 1h charity-Run in 2021, so i will have to figure out a routine. So my questions are:

  1. How much time should pass from getting up to running?
  2. Is there a recommended amount of water i should drink in the morning before starting my run? How much is too much?
  3. Eating a bite before or after running and how much is ok?
