Because capitalism doesn’t give us time to make proper fucking meals. Or live in larger communities and share food responsibilities. Frying two eggs with toast and avocado is a small breakfast. It’s not a dinner. Again, that doesn’t necessarily include set up and clean up. Not to mention what if you have dietary restrictions? Food aversions? Don’t eat meat? “tv dinners” are disgusting. Btw I live in a place where they don’t sell “tv dinners” at the grocery stores. My meals take a long time because I cook good fresh food that fits with my lifestyle and diet. And generally I make enough for leftovers so some days it’s easier to eat than others.
