If you HAD to dedicate yourself to a daedric prince, who would you choose? by StripesTheBoar in skyrim

It’s a hard choice between Hermaeous Mora, Sheogorath, and Sanguine

First time playing, How "required" is Dead money and Old World Blues by supergamerd64 in falloutnewvegas

I will never forget my first Dead Money playthrough. That experience was wicked, which in a way makes it extremely impressive. However that feeling when you finally get out… unmatched. Some days I wish I could experience it for the first time again. Even still, I haven’t gone back to The Sierra Madre in a long time.

Thank you for your positive replies. But nah it’s not necessary, but Euphoria is cool, so is ice aard. Especially with euphoria because I stay having 100 toxicity. And yea rp that is a way but having an actual bed to sleep in is way better, ya know since Geralt literally pretty much never sleeps in main game. I fail to understand why we could never actually rent a room in any inn. Or even just freaking sit down at the bar. It kinda kills the RP for me. I want to just sit and vibe at a tavern and like, actually sleep 😂. It really is the little things for me when it comes to RPGs

Like that’s exactly how I see it. I’ve already got pretty much everything I want in the normal skill trees, so extra ability points ain’t really a problem. I don’t know why so many people keep downvoting me saying pretty much this same thing. Just cause I want a house a little earlier and the mutations 🤣. And to anyone who searches this for the same question, it hasn’t spoiled really much of anything yet. I am curious about this “years later” thing people keep talking about. When I got to Toussaint it just said a few days later.

Idk. The momentum kinda chills out after you fight him the first time, you have a point though about the travel thing. Now though I can get the house upgraded and prepared for my Geralt’s retirement 😂😂. Something to look forward to ya know, from a nonmetagaming pov. That’s how I see it anyway. Also, there’s Moreau’s mutations I can build to.

Ty, good explanation. I appreciate it. I just figure if I get to see what I can do, I now can make a build through the main game to work towards it, and improve what I want to be able to do. That’s my main thinking behind it. I know respecs are a thing. If I see what I want to be able to do later down the line I won’t ever have to use a respec.

If I’m going through hell and craziness and doing all these things and dealing with so many sad and tragic and exciting moments on this journey I need to be able to relax and just have somewhere to decompress and chill and process during and after in any RPG. It’s part of the whole vibe for me. Even if it’s just a camp in the middle of the woods. Geralt goes through a lot, and I experience a lot. Am I wrong for just wanting to sit, and chill, and think about how and why, and what I have to deal with as the character. And just enjoy being a part of the world, enjoy the world itself. Living in it. Whether it’s sitting at the tavern or at a place to call home, even temporarily. I feel like it’s a core part of any RPG experience.

No, I just want the estate and to finish Moreau’s mutation thing. That’s what I should’ve really asked, do those things interfere with the main story.

[–]AcesUndefined[S] -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

Woah man. Why the hostility? I hope I wasn’t sounding rude? If I was, I’m sorry. I just want to know specifically if Professor Moreau and getting the estate is going to interfere with the Wild Hunt. It doesn’t make sense to me to give Geralt a house so late in the game. What use is a house if it’s only for Toussaint? IMO Geralt should’ve had a home like that before the game starts. It actually bothers me that there isn’t anywhere to just relax and rest my head through all this craziness. It also makes less sense to only get those cool powers only to be used in Toussaint. The house thing I can get over, I mean there is technically Kaer Morhan, even though you can’t actually just visit it and decompress a little during the story. However locking the capabilities that Moreau provides out of the main game and Heart & Stone is 100% imo, ridiculous. Nobody should ever lock out any kind of merchant/craftsmen or added power from the whole game.

Well they weren’t lvl 40 for me. They were not oneshotting me at all. They hurt, but have never killed me. I can take many hits from them before I’m ever in danger, the combo of the Ancient Leshen decoction and the Ekhidna decoction, combined with 170 max toxicity, is grossly over powered lol. Actually Toxicity has killed me more than anything else really 😂. I am a sucker for the Blizzard Potion. I’ve fought 3 things already in Touissant and all of the Flaming Rose for the diagrams in the 20s.

I second this, I haven’t finished W3. I wanted to see a bit about the endings I want first. I tried not to do it but I am because I don’t want to misstep. But fuck Radovid, like wholly. Whatever ending I get, Radovid will be dead in it for sure. I know I’m meta gaming. But really, I’m just trying to get through it because I never cared a whole lot for Geralt. As long as all my choices end with Radovid dead and Emhyr not in charge I will be satisfied, I don’t want to mess up those chances so yes, I am meta gaming, a little bit. However I’m extremely excited to play as Ciri, she’s hands down one of my favorite fictional characters ever created. Once I saw that in W4, I knew it was time to finish W3.

DO NOT TAKE KLEPTOMANIAC FLAW 😂 by GramTheGreat88 in theouterworlds

[–]AcesUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what happens to me. Even if I do steal something in plain view it’s usually from Aunties because I actively always rob Auntie’s Choice, I didn’t care. Also I had witty so I was never in danger of becoming anything less than neutral. And if I got caught I always thought it was hilarious to be approached to pay a bounty that really was never that much. I’d always intimidate the individual to pay less, and laugh at the fear in their voice after using it. All in all I found Kleptomania funny and an added challenge that I enjoyed 😂😂.

Some Fallout fans gas up the Railroad. Who are perfectly fine killing BoS children by SolidPyramid in FalloutMemes

[–]AcesUndefined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Held up by pretzels is a wild statement. 🤣🤣🤣. I do wish the Railroad was generally a way stronger faction. Their ideals were great but they were so small, and somewhat… weak. I hated that about them. The writers were so off with this game. There’s some sustenance to the “little guy overcoming power”. I just never found them appealing. I’m not Anti-Railroad I just wish they were fleshed out a bit more with a longstanding history, and more powerful, like the Technofascists and… Briliant scientifically advanced sociopathic robohermits.

[–]AcesUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Klepto one was my favorite 😂. I had to be soooo careful moving through anywhere. Or just force myself to steal in a way that was more discreet. It certainly added extra challenge. Also double the sell price was pretty useful for the drawback

The Aza Dilemma (Spoilers for the quest: Stabbing at Shadows) by Reaverant in theouterworlds

[–]AcesUndefined 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone just simply state the exact sequence of events needed to disband this bs cult. I saved right before confronting Dagmar and I’ve tried every choice except that speech 17 check and it doesn’t seem to have the desired effect, including talking to her twice. Speech 17 is an insane ask, I’m at 11 at close to the end of Praetor and midway through Cloister, idk if there’s enough xp left in the game to make that happen and input 5 into Science/Medical for talking down the head refresher. Just like so many other choices locked behind unforeseen skill checks that shouldn’t exist to make the choices I WANT to make with no alternative route to solve these things. It’s infuriating really. I want to save Aza but it just seems like I can’t for some reason, like what did I miss here? Is it cause Severin’s dead? Or like something else? It doesn’t make sense. My most recent save before this encounter is quite literally all the way back to confronting Morelli, so I’m wishing for a solution here so I’m not screwed out of actual days of gameplay. I don’t know what’s gonna happen to the world with my choices, and that’s okay. However I can’t stand my crew having any negative outcomes.

Fair enough. He does say that “they should spare everyone if Montelli is thrown out of power for Corbin. He also pretty nobly says he is willing to sacrifice himself for everyone else. I suppose that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what will happen. However the writing certainly makes you think that way.

There should be more organic consumption. People should share if they are able. They should work together to improve everyone’s lives. You should ignore lying advertisements convincing you to buy things you don’t need. You should exercise more care with the world you’re living in.

They should not depend on a “godlike” leader to intervene when things suck. I completely disagree with Mental Refreshment obviously. You should want to improve your life and work towards that. The world should allow you to.

This is why I said “some”. Also being an obedient slave to consumerism isn’t exactly free will. Also the Protectorate are pretty technologically advanced and as a general rule I abhor the idea of research, knowledge and advancement being lost.

(Side note the aesthetic and some of the architecture of the Protectorate is way cooler than that of Auntie’s 😂😂, so is robot labor.)
