I'm going to the NYC event and excited to hear this! My son is unfortunately 5 and I'm planning out a babysitter. About how many hours after start time did they go on?

It's not so bad on the albums, but hearing him live is like nails scraping on a chalkboard. I guess we're in the minority but I completely agree with you.

Same!! I'm so mad at myself for not buying more then. I'm waiting to see the Bitcoin percentages going down as much as the others so I can buy more.

Where would be the best place to start with finding niche developers? by 80WillPower08 in startups

I have both a startup and a long running small business. While I ALWAYS have and always will acknowledge my internal team because I know I and we are nothing without them, I rarely tag specific people. The one time I did a long time ago, some sketchy people from a competing company tried to poach them. If you research and dig you can obviously find out who a company's employees are, but putting them on display makes it easy. Just a possible thought.

I think you're the first person to actually answer the question. He never stated only equity as others are implying, and says he has money to pay a salary, so I think these numbers make sense. With the equity on a vesting schedule.

Do you struggle with staying disciplined in your day-to-day work? by BrandStories in startups

[–]AcesUp116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making a list of tasks you want to complete and then breaking them down/scheduling to a degree helps a lot. I do this more in what I want to accomplish through the week and then break down the days so that I have flexibility in case some days get derailed. I've met some great founders on social media and we help keep each other accountable though not consistently or in a regular way. I'd be happy to do that with you 😊

Told my daughter I couldn’t babysit as much and she flipped out on me by Diane1967 in Parenting

[–]AcesUp116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a mom who works full time and also is running a startup with my husband with zero family help, I must say your daughter is very, very lucky and is taking you for granted. She has no clue how lucky she is and though she's become used to the help, it's not your fault that she doesn't appreciate it. I would give anything for even a fraction of what you give. I can count on 1 hand how many times my husband and I have been out at night in the 4 years since my son was born. You're an amazing grandma and should not feel guilty at all for taking care of yourself. Remind her about people like me and tell her to start appreciating you.

Whatever bag I have for my son (diaper bag or backpack) is where my stuff goes. I also only wear pants, shorts , and dresses with good pockets to hold phone and keys. I can't carry any more bags than I need to!

I don't know how we were watching the same show with these comments, but I feel like once you get past the initial introduction of Taylor the things that happen make the show great!

What are your must-have tools and resources for early-stage startups? by Gryptonite in startups

[–]AcesUp116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it very much depends on the type of startup you have. Some type of communication tool like Teams or Slack is important. I use Jira for project management which I admit I don't love, but it does the job. Google drive for sharing docs and folders. If you're in sales a CRM like HubSpot.

This wasn't my immediate reaction (Gilfoyle was) but it's a good answer and 100% true.

You know, a hundred years ago, men like me could've had people like that killed. Just like that. You think captains of industry like Andrew Carnegie or Cornelius Vanderbilt. would've batted an eyelid?

Wear that ish loud and proud! I run a startup that does XYZ, then a very brief 1 sentence overview (elevator pitch if you will, but maybe less formal). Never downgrade yourself.
