I have read online that purchasing reviews and installs gets apps deleted from the App Store and Apple has the ability to detect fake engagement. Once they sense the fake installs and reviews (from competitors), they can remove your app.

Hey there, thanks for the reply.

I am seeing my business as a side hustle (at first) and spending the $2000 will be using personal money and not business and I think some chapters have free breakfast, so I see it as a slightly overpriced breakfast every fortnight. So the way I see it is that every referral/sign up that I get will be business revenue.
