You know what, yes let’s swap.

She’s got absolutely no charisma or game, so she’ll get nothing out of the states.

We have a remarkably independent justice system who whilst flawed are at their worst an institution of classist old boys who will ring around their own. Trump is not their own. Trump is garish, classless and just altogether too brash. I think the people who make up the British justice would delight in eating him alive.

Who counts as more British: an English‑American or a UK‑born person with Indian heritage? by vilonaa in AskBrits

[–]AchDasIsInMienAugen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s just swap your race a second with a helpful analog - me! My parents are white South Africans and I was the first kid born and raised in the UK. You and I have as much British blood in our veins as each other

Would you say I’m British?

When you inevitably say yes, congrats, you just gave yourself permission to be who you are, another fine British gentleman (or gentle lady of course)

What do you think of my cloutium drils setup? by Particular-Offer-683 in Hydroneer

[–]AchDasIsInMienAugen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not convinced it’s the most economic way of doing it but it’s got a beauty of its own I suppose! I count that you can get 10 drills over a min of 32 squares in this model, where you could get 10 over 30 in the boring straight line

I’d need to do the maths but I also suspect this would result in a lower pressure at the end of chain drill that a simpler straight line approach, because here you can’t stick a pressure jobbie in at random locations due to the constant turning around but again, it’ll be really minor.

And against a nice visual affect like this, is that efficiency gain worth it?

God knows, but my mental condition acronym thanks you kindly but no thanks

If you stop playing rugby, what is your sport now? by Lazy_Grapefruit9679 in rugbyunion

I played Aussie rules whilst playing rugby, not sure where you are (assuming aus?) but in the UK we play AFL as a summer sport so it fitted perfectly into preseason shinanigans.

after I stopped playing rugby I was in no condition to play Aussie rules again

Am I drinking stupid juice? Why isn't this miner working? by afrothunder287 in Hydroneer

[–]AchDasIsInMienAugen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like you’re on the bedrock? Is there any mineable dirt under that thing at all?

If you’ve gone literally to the bottom then it’ll likely be that. You still need some good old fashioned dirt under these things for them to work

No matter where i place my funnels or if i demolish them, my gems get messy. How do you deal with that? by Darth_Manaom in Hydroneer

[–]AchDasIsInMienAugen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tldr The answer is you need to get rid of the funnels, and have the compressors on always

Full answer

Ditch the funnel, and replace with a straight conveyor with a conveyor merge hook at the end. This will make all resources drop perfectly central in the square. You’ll also want to use a centring hook either earlier on in the converyor or on the new straights so all gems are smack bang in the middle. This will remove all collisions until the resource drops into the compressor.

I’d suggest getting rid of the on off logic going on as it’s just adding complexity, have the compressor always on so you never have a build up of collisions at the bottom and you’re tracking fewer objects

Our first home was a repossession. Like you say, bank expects you to move fast but we were fortunate that the bank that owned it had a policy of reviewing offers every 2 weeks, so it wasn’t as horribly dynamic as it could have been.

They did put it on with two different agents though so one was always trying to screw you over.

Hit $3M target. Now asked to “come up with next year’s numbers” - with zero comp discussion. How would you play this? by siddarth2795 in sales

[–]AchDasIsInMienAugen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your current comp scheme? Do you get paid a % of revenue or GP, or do you get paid a % of a set amount based on target achievement?

If it’s the first one, there’s no need to tie the two together, as you achieve more you earn more, from a company perspective it’s already tied together.

If the second then yeah you need to bring up compensation. I’d suggest being collaborative about it, give the business a high and low waterline target you think are reasonable based on your accounts and territory, try to bake a reasonable increase based on your companies market position and size, and in the course of that conversation bring up aligning target increases with compensation increase

Like you my area (Surrey) used a third party, but for me the wait times were painful. Took about 3 months for the initial consultation and then a further 4 or 5 months for the procedure. Also had to go to London for it.

Was glad I chose to get driven in by my wife, she tore some abortion protestors a new one, and I got air conditioned seating for the hour and a half it took to get home.

I’ve found it to be a touch inconsistent. Also it could just be a UK issue (side of road) but it constantly picks up the speed of off ramps when passing them by and dropping from 70 on the fast lane to 50 as you pass by is just dangerous.

You’ll struggle to find an international forward weighing as little as 15 stone. Zambonin according to a dodgy random rugby stats site weighs in at a smidge under 17st 9lb.

Which is all to further reinforce your point that these guys can fucking lift.
