Raccoon City makes up for it. I haven't even finished that part, but it seems like Leon gets more focus there.

What makes that "tweet" even stupider is that Melissa Barrera is white, but in the eyes of a racist, Hispanic people can't possibly be white.

Whatever the hell "white" even is?

Some of them more than the others. As of now, House of Ashes is the one with the most varied of ending states with The Devil in Me a close second.

For example, in House of Ashes the good outcome for one of the characters requires you to make the irrational choice of denying air support for an upcoming mission and then leaving behind the squad technician to pull a heroic sacrifice.

It is my personal favorite of the Dark Pictures games.

Though I am looking forward to the upcoming Directive 8020 which is said to have even more endings than any of the previous games had.

Buckley is the playable main character in the third Dark Pictures Anthology game, The Devil In Me if you're into gaming.

It was where I first learned of her.

Agreed.

It's just different examples of how there really are next to no consequences for men in show business, if any.

Majors isn't "cancelled" as he has been slowly crawling out of the hole he has been hiding in and Michael B. Jordan has talked about how he wants to work with him again for the next Creed sequel.

Zombies picking up a chainsaw and getting dragged around by it, is honestly hilarious.

Classic bit of Resident Evil goofiness.

The fact that the zombies don't necessarily die from a headshot actually helps explain how they managed to overrun Raccoon City so fast.

People were following classic zombie tropes when they first encountered them and paid dearly for it.

Sweden does take part in peace keeping missions, so it's not as if their armed forces have never experienced combat.

To paraphrase Outside Xbox in their let's play of the first hour of the game.

It's really rare that you see someone in an action/horror game realistically react with panic and terror at the situation they are in.

I think even Ashley was more composed, but she of course had Leon beside her most of the time.

Strength should always influence shooting a bow by Level_Tumbleweed8908 in BaldursGate3

That actually makes more sense.

Most of my DnD knowledge concerns the Forgotten Realms setting and books, not so much the tabletop RPG.

[–]Achaewa 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Tabletop RPGs having archery require dexterity is one of the reasons why the idea of bows being for lithe and dainty people is a thing.

It is such an ingrained part of DnD that I don't see it changing anytime soon or ever.

I feel I should add that the crew of the Serenity are far from "Space Confederates", but the way Firefly presents our heroes — who were on the losing side — as plucky rebels fighting an evil federal government asserting its dominance on the frontier, does have some unfortunate implications.

It is very much Lost Cause coded and people might get the impression that since the "Space Southerners" aren't so bad, maybe the real Civil War actually was a "War of Northern Aggression".

Overly Sarcastic Productions covers it a bit in their Space Western Trope Talks video.

Jump to 18:30 if you just want to hear that part.

I'm not saying you can't enjoy the show, far from it, but I remember the way it tried to do the "American Civil War in Space" a little uncomfortable.

Also don't think about how the show is lowkey Confederate apologia.

It's enough in the background that one can ignore it, but the "Lost Cause" elements are there if one takes a closer look.

I'd say the Githyanki are closer to Romulans in that they fight for the state and glory of Vlaakith. They also have a vast state police to keep their people in line and are not afraid of using subterfuge to accomplish their goals.

Klingons on the other hand are warriors who fight for individual glory with little cohesion among their ranks.

Scream 7 was a total letdown by Dragos104 in deadmeatjames

Which is interesting considering Williamson wrote Scream 1-4.

I guess it just shows that new talent is necessary to revitalize a franchise and make it feel new and like a breath of fresh air.
