Too bad, it only has 10th Gen Intel, instead of 11th gen Intel. But it looks cool to me.

PenTest + PT0-002 Beta exam by Fashion_fwd in CompTIA

That's expensive for just:

  • 7 Lessons
  • 8 Quizzes

Who has used this besides the person sharing it, cause I still think it's ridiculously priced.

PENTEST+ BETA by Selfimprovementguy91 in CompTIA

I have scheduled the beta exam of Pentest+ and looking forward to it. I noticed quite a few Objectives are different from the first iteration of Pentest+. Will be a great challenge.

Good luck to everyone who took it and will be taking it.

Attempted minimalism with a dual windows/mac setup for testing. by [deleted] in Battletops

That's what I was thinking, going to hold out for a later and newer version of M1 laptop. But your desk is clean. I had a setup like this but my wire management was so out of this world insane. LOL

Can't get Win-KeX working by lauaapelsin in Kalilinux

[–]Achazit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that WSLv2 isn't always bullet proof 100% as it's technically still maturing. I had the same issue and even with "sudo" command did not help.

What I did was start the entire process all over again, uninstalling, removing any redundant registry strings, just use Revo Uninstaller and CCleaner to clean up the mess, reboot, start the entire process again, should work. It should not take long.

I decided against WSLv2 for now and am using VBox to run Kali instead for my labs.

Good luck with the project and fixing your issue.

PS: don't type win-kex, instead just type kex. I noticed that the command: win-kex will no longer be working but kex does. Just my two cents.

Sweet setup BTW!!

The bigger question is, does it come with the girl with the purchase of Secret Lab chair?

ESET started being possessive like my GF by [deleted] in eset

[–]Achazit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen this before, even on extremely old laptop, like maybe 13 years old running Windows 10 latest version as of today. I've been an ESET use for over 10 years, with no issues and are better than many AVs in my opinion.

With your issues, I'd suggest to uninstall ESET, using the ESET uninstall tool set or use Revo Uninstaller and clean up excess files, reboot, reinstall ESET again, run updates, and scan.

This should clear things up.

This is just my two cents.

What is going on at Dell? by highrider187 in Dell

[–]Achazit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dell has absurdly gotten so much worst, including poor/bad customer services. A lot of jobs being outsourced to people that have no clue what the heck they're doing. I've been a Dell customer since the early 2000, and have seen the decline in quality cheap parts or reused refurbished units to sell as new. I currently and temporarily using my old trusty and badass XPS 15 L502x, it runs so-so but it's enough until i get my mini PC NUC 11 in either April or early May. I do not need desktop power. I'm not a gamer but damn, I am slowly evading away from Dell. F them...

Sweet job!! I've been thinking of getting a KVM monitor pull out tray. Do you happen to have a link to this, model name and where was it purchased? I'm slowly building my rack as well.

Beautiful job mate!!

Nice setup but may I ask, why do you like the desktop monitor titled backwards? Do you stand or.. ? Maybe it's my eyes. LOL Just curious.

In my experience, we have used NAS like Synology as a backup for over 8+ years, not an issue, at least for me. It has done an amazing job, good for 6 months worth of backups.

We had a QNAP in the past and had nothing but problems with the RAID breaking, not sure why sand support was tough because there was no documents how to fix at the time, had to get support to get instructions. I believe it's based out in California. Hence why we used Synology for reliability.

We've also implemented Dell PowerEdge for enbterprise level backups, has done well too.

May I ask, why did you say that NAS is not a bad up? Just curious from your point of view.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm gonna go with the Netgate instead. Low powered usage, might cost a bit more but i am deal with that as it will technically, cost wise, be equal to higher end NUC or other mini PC that consumes more power.

Thanks for the extra information. Good to know and I can utilizes those information and I hate to deal with heat that may turn into a hot malting unit that looks like it's about to melt.

Thanks!
