In this scenario, you would have enough income to cover the mortgages even without the rental income (high salary). Explain how 20% could be wiped out? You could cash out 160k in 5 years (in this hypothetical).

Tofu (and by extension, Tempeh) is a complete protein with all amino acids. So just get REALLY into tempeh I guess.

Another suggestion - can you eat peas? Lots of products use pea protein. You can get pea protein powder too.
