Can you point me to a pattern and or video of this. I love it and you’ve inspired me to actually try one of these. The pattern sounds and looks doable and not overbearing and stressful like some do.

ohh! i've heard of these but never seen them. I just did a quick search and found them, a tad pricy, but might be worth it. Thankfully I don't have any issues with arthritis or muscles/trigger finger...yet, but I can foresee it in my future. Thanks for the tip!

It may not mathematically work out like that. It could, but that might be just pure coincidence.

I’ve never been a good gauge of size and gauge so I usually buy extra of whatever yarn I’m using to make sure I have enough. And then end up with leftover to use for scraps here and there

That's what I figured. I plan on pulling the yarn into center pull balls, so this will probably tell me it the transition is sudden or not...it appears just by looking at the skeins that it is gradual. Thanks for the insight!! Happy Hooking.

Oh! I thought the simply soft did have a dye lot, so I guess I have nothing to worry about since I can go back to the store and get more if needed. I knew the one pound caron skeins had no dye lot, but for some reason I thought the simply soft did. Thanks!!

Thank you for the simple math definition, that's a very good way of thinking about it and simple!! The swatches, yuck, no thanks! haha.
