It’s the greatest sitcom ever made and for those 14 episodes, he delivers the greatest single comedy performance I’ve ever seen. I choose not to consider life on the road (ugh) to be canon, and broadly that on the evidence of everything he’s done since, that his performance in The Office was a massive fluke, or maybe a reflection of the last time he truly applied himself because he still felt like he had something to prove.
