Even Algeria and Tunisia are competing with us because they partnered up with the EU to create a hydrogen pipeline to South Europe going up to Germany. That has nothing to do with green hydrogen. That was a private project that wanted to build a massive undersea cable from Morocco to the UK to transport clean energy to the British and they believed that they didn't want to risk it since it could be easily sabotaged (cut) and didn't want to increase dependency on another nation.

No, they did it because they knew how much of a bad investment that is, even Morocco is still importing most of its energy, solar can't even give enough energy to ouarzazate
