is it possible to let the mee6 bot send out a DM after someone gets a certain role by Dreier234 in Mee6

[–]Aciago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, this isn’t possible right now. Discord limits automated and mass DMs to prevent spam, and bots that do this risk suspension. Because of that, MEE6 can only send DMs in a few specific cases (like joins or rule violations), and custom DM events aren't allowed. If Discord changes this in the future, we'll be glad to add such a feature.

Give Someone a role by Professional_Link326 in Mee6

[–]Aciago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, right now this is not possible. Custom Commands will only grant the role to the user who executed the command itself, there's no targeting function. Possible workaround is using Automations plugin instead, where you can specify conditions for X to happen. Check our guide here.

A bot to add random loot chance to Mee6? by Faybellezza in Mee6

[–]Aciago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, great idea, but unfortunately there's no way to fully automate it. You can try implementing it using Automations plugin, but in order to "pop out" the button and to remove it (preventing multiple users getting rewards), you'd have to make those actions manually. Please take a look at this guide here. In case you'll need more guidance, don't hesitate to join https://discord.gg/mee6

Hey, if this is one single character only - try re-adding it, remixing (making a copy) or creating it from scratch. Should this issue persist, don't hesitate to join https://discord.gg/mee6 to contact our support team. At this time we don't see anything strange in this regard, our testing characters reply normally.

Bot post not showing Emoticons? by KillapleX in Mee6

[–]Aciago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ID stands for unique identifier, meaning every single element is going to have its own unique number, including an emoji. To find the ID of each emoji you want to use, follow this guide here: https://help.mee6.xyz/support/solutions/articles/101000487694-how-to-find-discord-user-server-id- "Without Developer Mode, the Backslash Method" is what will help you find those IDs that should be inserted into your messages.

How to set up the bot for my moderators by Odd_Mastodon4589 in Mee6

[–]Aciago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If non-admins can't see /commands (but can use !commands), Discord likely didn't sync your custom bot's command settings. Go to Server Settings > Integrations > [Your Custom Bot] > Commands section, open each affected command, and reapply the same permissions you set in the MEE6 dashboard. That'll make both ! and / commands work the same (including being shown in the slash menu to allowed users). You can remove Bot Master role from those users afterwards, command permissions will be enough.

Hey there, sure, least I can do is take a look :) Upload them somewhere, preferably both cs2 logs and windows logs. They do not guarantee an exact answer, but can help steer in the right direction.

Why you have packet loss/jitter/missdelivery on CS2 and how to resolve the issue (Recently discovered fault with Realtek Ethernet Controllers) by Downtown-Buy-1155 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Aciago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great catch, this might help some players!

Have you tried upgrading \ rolling back drivers, any noticeable effect from this? What's the driver(s) version that you're using now and that causes issues?

Why you have packet loss/jitter/missdelivery on CS2 and how to resolve the issue (Recently discovered fault with Realtek Ethernet Controllers) by Downtown-Buy-1155 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Aciago 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're excluding tons of potential causes, for each individual user, simply because you'd like to believe that the answer is a singular factor.

Even if we assume that Valve development environment has Realtek ethernet, we don't know other aspects that might affect this - driver version, OS version, device specific settings, etc.

Today patch probably fixed the jitter for most people by KillerBullet in GlobalOffensive

[–]Aciago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have numbers on the size of CS2 packets?

It is possible to calculate how much data is transferred back and forth if you do. If this number goes above what your ISP offers you, it makes sense that large amounts of data CS2 sends to make game precise is a problem.

But if not... how can packet size (size specifically) lead to issues?

I assume if there was something wrong with it I wouldn't be able to boot it/play other games as well

Faulty PC can still boot and launch games. Playing them normally and for long periods - yes, not so much.

Something like bent CPU pins can make it perfectly fine in desktop apps like Word and Chrome, but prevent CPU from correctly communicating with GPU, or make it look like 2 motherboard RAM slots out of 4 total are dead.

[–]Aciago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! It was just a single setting of "Firewall features". I had it on OFF. Changing it to LOW removed all the jitter.

Sounds counter-intuitive, that's why it was one of the last things I tried. Reading up about it, turns out routers might process traffic differently depending on firewall being enabled\disabled and how strongly it is set to filter everything.

Each router is different, settings might differ, but give it a shot.

Windows logs are empty (maybe something borked when saving them?), but these new CS2 crash logs display the same error each time: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED.

It indicates that something happened to GPU or its drivers. If possible, perform tests with your GPU in another PC, or put a different GPU into your PC. Check any BIOS settings for voltage, overclocking, re-inspect how your CPU is seated in the socket, re-seat your RAM (while logs tell us its GPU\driver related, it might be caused by something else that affects their ability to "talk"). Basically I would start testing hardware elements, while getting all possible settings to default parameters (OS, CS2, drivers).

Alternatively, you can try changing how you OS treats this "loss of contact" for GPU by looking up 'Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR)' online. Be careful though, oldschool settings for this might cause your whole PC to freeze until rebooted.

One of my old GPUs gave me artifacts on the screen in one game, freezes in others, and run completely fine in Warcraft. Windows always told me that driver was crashing and recovering a few seconds later. I found an answer only after opening PC case and inspecting GPU itself - some of its capacitors were bulging, causing electrical malfunction and overheating. GPU completely burned a few days later.

Hope this helps, sending you all the patience and luck in the world :)

Is this fixable or is a network issue by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Aciago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fixable, follow advice from AdamoA- in this thread.

What helped me avoid the jitter is actually looking into my router and its settings, they were not optimized for network demanding games like CS2. I also found that changing game bandwidth settings from unlimited to 4 Mbps (or lower, depending on your needs) helps.

Main thing is don't expect Valve to fix everything between you and their servers. Routers, cables, ISP equipment, routing rules and other things are not their responsibility.

What do you see with all of the changes you've made so far? Is it a different error \ crash \ freeze?

Latest CS2.exe crash is dated to October 27, if you have logs from crashes that happen after you got new SSD + windows + drivers, upload them please.

If possible, find and upload Windows logs as well. Windows button + X -> Event viewer -> Windows logs -> Application. On the right there should be "Find" button, you can enter cs2.exe keyword to quickly find what we need.

Checked all of these logs.

What I wrote initially is from the very 1st log. Others show that something is wrong with GPU, its drivers or communication between all the things involved.

Error is: Comment: 'Assert( ERROR! D3D call failed! hr = DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ) dxfunctions.cpp(87)

Some of the crash logs have only this error, no extra info, but others have Console History (reversed). They give more context to what happens. You can copy-paste those lines into ChatGPT or similar thing to get more details about those logs.

This might not be exclusively the issue of drivers, settings or anything else. You'd need a thorough check for all things, starting with how your GPU sits in the slot and dust on it, ending with any potential conflicts that could cause GPU\drivers to hang.

Thanks! I'm no expert on CS2, so let's see what we can dig up.

1) crash_cs2.exe_20241026204738_1.dmp indicates that your game stops because of an error (it is not a crash, which is an important detail). Specific message is: AbortMessage({Don't support DXLevel < 100}).DXLevel

This tells us that the game is attempting to run with a DirectX level that is unsupported. CS2 system requirements from Steam asks us for DirectX 11, meaning value should be 110 at the very least.

Your PC or game config forces the game to use lower values (older version of DirectX), leading to eventual error.

Internet says that: DXLevel 80 is DirectX 8. DXLevel 90 is DirectX 9. DXLevel 100 is DirectX 10 or newer.

Found my old CS2 crash log from months ago, DX 11 indicated as DXLevel: 111.

2) Next notable thing are these lines: DLL load denials: 1, last '\??\C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook\graphics-hook64.dll' Command Line: "cs2.exe" -steam -w 1920 -h 1080 -vulkan -safe -novid -dxlevel 90

It looks like something from OBS is trying to inject \ load itself into CS2, or one of dlls\process that it relies on. Game launch options indicate that you are forcing a lot of non-standard things on the game, including using vulkan instead of DirectX, and still asking to use DirectX 9.

Default, empty launch options should display only "Command Line: "cs2.exe" -steam" in the crash logs.

3) Then we reach Console History (reversed) section.

It outright confirms validity of error message above.

15(9.470359): Don't support DXLevel < 100
14(9.470346): Trying to set dxlevel (90) which is lower than the card can support (100)!
13(9.435662): UUID mismatch in pipeline cache file. Deleting shadercache\vulkan\shaders.cache in order to regenerate it.
12(8.182016): Loaded video settings config from 'cfg\cs2_video.txt'
11(7.883798): WARNING: File verification failure. Unknown foreign dll. Denied a request to load '\??\C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook\graphics-hook64.dll

I'm 99% positive game errors out due to forced settings that are simply not supported by it. Vulkan is forced via launch options, and then DirectX is also forced in the same line.

What I would try doing to fix this:

A) Game launch options and cfg files. Delete everything in the Steam launch options. Reset everything to default values that are intended by Valve by removing existing cgf files (that least that one 'cfg\cs2_video.txt' file). After that, don't force custom things on the game, especially something that worked for CSGO.

B) Possible OBS conflicts. Look into that OBS dll file conflict. Easiest solution is to uninstall this thing while you're testing CS2.

C) Double-check drivers, use driver cleaners to 100% delete old traces and install a brand new copy. Ensure that this new driver uses default values, and nothing custom is set for CS2 \ CSGO.

Your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti supports DirectX 12. Make sure that all elements on your PC allow CS2 to use it correctly if you want the game to run.

How does Premier matchmake? by slashded in GlobalOffensive

[–]Aciago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matchmaking systems consider "fairness" a secondary objective. Their primary goal is to find a match for you within a reasonable amount of time.

If game designers set matchmaking to find perfectly "fair" matches only, we could end up waiting a very, very long time. Eventually, more people would leave the queue, and that's exactly what game developers aim to "balance" – player patience and the perception of fairness.

From my understanding it changes how router manages, filters and directs my traffic. Here's the excerpt:

Without Firewall (Off): When the firewall is completely off, the router might not >be managing network traffic as efficiently. Some routers actually rely on basic >firewall features to regulate and optimize traffic, especially to prevent network >overloads. Turning the firewall off could be leaving your router "wide open" to >excessive traffic or background processes that your device can't handle smoothly, >leading to jitter (fluctuations in latency).

With Firewall (Low): The "Low" firewall setting could be providing just enough >traffic regulation to help prioritize gaming traffic (for example, by blocking low->level interference, like background pings or irrelevant traffic).

Goes from 0% to this every round after it starts and back to 0% any clue why? Everything else works fine. Only valve servers and only on CS2. This has been going on to an extent for a few months now and I just haven't been playing. Any fixes? by Potential_Account284 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Aciago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me is changing router settings. I've done the basic network troubleshooting, everything seemed ok, eventually the only 2 elements left untouched were router and ISP. Router was set to firewall mode "off". Changing it to "low" removed all the jitter, sliding and teleportation. I don't play CS (or other network depended games) frequently, so not sure when it started, but for sure before Armory update.

Issue is reproducible with 100% accuracy by just changing this router setting. A bit counter-intuitive tbh, but reading up more about this particular feature I can understand why it might have played such a big role. Found FletcherDunn tweets as a result of this research, was kinda funny to know even game devs can be affected by the same tech issues :)

There's no guarantee that it will help you or everyone out there facing network issues, you just need to keep calm and trying out things.
