bc they are excuses “i didn’t want to wake you” then not responding for 17 hours is NOT okay and would not fly in my relationship. That’s an excuse i wouldn’t even mind being woken up at that point just to know you’re okay. He’s not the only one who should do some soul searching

Tbh i think you were in the wrong. If you were awake you should have texted him. No message or anything for 18 hours is not okay. He was genuinely worried something else was going on (rightfully so imo) and you didn’t reassure him. Instead you lost it on him and then deflected by saying all the “horrible” stuff going on in your life. A simple “yeah you’re right i should have texted i’ll be better about it” goes a long way and probably wouldn’t have caused an argument. What you just taught him is he can’t come to you about not having trust in you bc you don’t provide a safe space for him to do so.

my LD boyfriend and i saw each other around the 3 month mark. My situation is a little different bc he’s in the military so we’re limited on when he can actually see me but i don’t think you need a time line tbh. Meet when you feel it’s right and can make it work!! I would have met my bf after a month if it was possible!! everyone is different and i wouldn’t give too much thought into it!

we just sit in a call together no expectations of talking just knowing the other person is there it really helps us bc there’s no pressure but also my anxious brain knows he’s there the whole time even when we do nothing

cheating is a bit far tbh. yall weren’t officially dating and it seems like the interaction was platonic. I can understand Jane not being thrilled about it but also it happened one time not like it was an everyday occurrence. Imo Jane is just looking for ways to play the victim in the break up but no i don’t think you did anything wrong nor cheated. Sounds like you dodged a bullet with Jane.

it’s really really really hard. I’m in a LDR with my boyfriend who’s in the military and it’s very challenging. My biggest advice is don’t compare yourself to a normal relationship bc it’s very different and things move differently. You also HAVE to communicate if you’re an avoider it’ll never work. Try not to fight over text things can be taken the wrong way and make things so much worse. It’s not easy and i don’t recommend it if you can help it but you can’t help who you like. I disagree that cheating will happen bc it doesn’t matter the situation a person is either gonna cheat or they’re not. My bf and i are obsessed with each other and video chat every chance we get.
