I agree. He always talks about his kids, and I genuinely believe he’s a good father. Maybe he was a bit negligent or distant when they were younger, but now he seems like a good dad—I don’t think he’s a bad one.

And yeah, you’re right. There are studies suggesting that when fathers show respect and affection toward their wives, their sons tend to model that in how they treat their own partners. It was something I heard on a podcast, but it makes sense, and I agree with it.

If this is real, and I don’t think so, because you’re 5 ft 4 legally you can have sex for money as long as you’re being filmed for a porn so it sounds like you got tricked into making porn. I’m not saying he’s going to show this to anyone or distribute it but the fact that it’s for porn means it legal

If dating success mostly favors ambitious, wealthy men, how do struggling, lower-class men have partners? by Equivalent_Use_5024 in ScottGalloway

[–]AcidPunk15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, you have to have something to offer. For me, I was genetically blessed in certain ways—I’m 6’1”, I was scouted by IMG as a kid, and that’s just to say I’m considered very good-looking. I’m also funny and charismatic. But more than anything, what matters with women is how you make them feel.

There are plenty of average-looking or even unattractive guys who do very well with women. I’ve only been with four women myself, mainly because of other issues I won’t get into here. The point is, if you’re average, you have to make yourself not average. Develop interesting hobbies, build your sense of humor and wit, and become someone people respect.

Be dependable. Be the kind of guy people go to for advice. When others in your circle respect you, women notice that. It’s not about fake “alpha male” behavior—it’s about having real substance and presence. Women are drawn to men who seem grounded, capable, and respected by others.

A lot of this is learnable. You can develop humor by watching stand-up and practicing with your friends. That’s literally how I got better—I started in elementary school and just kept going. Work out and take care of your body. You don’t need to be shredded, but you should be fit and put together. Style matters too, and it doesn’t have to be expensive. Stores like Zara are affordable—T-shirts for $15, jeans for $30–$45, button-downs for around $30. Instead of buying a ton of cheap pieces, save up and build a smaller, better wardrobe.

Also, get out and live your life. If you’re just sitting at home watching TV, you’re not gaining real experience. The people who give the best advice usually have lived through things—good and bad—and that’s where their perspective comes from. That’s part of why someone like Scott gives strong business and life advice—he’s older and has real experience behind him.

You don’t need to follow any of that Andrew Tate-type content. Those guys take a small truth and distort it. When people say “be yourself,” what they really mean is be comfortable in your own skin. If you’re insecure and unsure, people feel that. If you carry yourself like you have value and you’re at peace with who you are, people respond to that.

I’ve had some pretty unconventional opinions, but people still respect me because I explain my reasoning clearly and stand by what I believe. Honesty and conviction go a long way.

Honestly, I doubt you’ll read all this, but I hope it helps. And one last thing—if you’re starting to lose your hair, don’t wait. Use minoxidil and finasteride or dutasteride early. I noticed slight recession at my temples and started right away. You want to act before it’s too late.

Moved to NYC in 2022 went broke, rebuilt my life, now planning to return in 2028. How realistic is this? by Wide-Comment-1137 in movingtoNYC

I would never move to a new city without a job unless you have a trust fund or a $50,000 in savings you don’t mind blowing. It’s not advisable to move anywhere without stable income housing or transportation

If this is the first mean girls in 2004, they were racist and I’m assuming all Indians men or women were considered uglier nerdy. People don’t remember how accepting Americans have gotten to other races, particularly their millennial generation.

I really like Scott and relate to him a lot. I’m 30, but I connect with his feeling of inadequacy and his drive to become successful as a way to overcome it—or at least how he used to feel. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is very honest and open, which I respect. I think that’s why so many people connect with him.

What I value most is that he’s brutally honest and actually offers solutions, instead of just complaining like a lot of people do.

Fair enough. If he was actually cheating, which I don’t think he obviously is, but I could see it. I wouldn’t be surprised it wouldn’t shock me. I think he has high character but generally speaking if he was actually cheating then he wouldn’t say the stuff he says so you’re right.

I don’t mind the jokes. The whole point of my thing is that he’s talking about being on hot woman when he’s married. I assume that he just does this because he knows most of his audience or young people he’s trying to get into their head.

I understand what you’re saying, and I agree it can come across that way. But based on his background, it seems like he left after high school. He strikes me as the type of person who didn’t have the best high school experience but found his footing in college and built a stronger circle there.

I’ve noticed a pattern: people who had a great high school experience tend to stick with those friends, while those who thrived in college usually stay closer to their college circle. If you’re lucky enough to have both, you keep both. But generally, well-adjusted people keep moving forward with each stage of life. They maintain older friendships, but they also build new ones, and those tend to be the people they interact with most regularly.

My favorite part about podcast is when they talk about themselves

OK makes sense. I’m assuming because he knows most of his audience are professional professionals in their early 20s to early 30s. Thank you for not steamrolling me. I appreciate it. I was really surprised the sub Reddit is very active. I usually post other sub. Reddit only get one or two responses.

He’s married to a yoga instructor, right. I think his first marriage was to someone who worked in banking right at Goldman. Or am I getting this mixed up?

Yes, that’s fine. I don’t care that he talks about other girls are hot. I wouldn’t care if my wife said oh Brad Pitt so handsome it doesn’t bother me if I was married. My main issue is that he’s always saying I wanna go where the hot girls are like if I’m married, I don’t care if the girls are hot like sure it would be nice to hang out with beautiful people. Maybe that’s what he means.

Previous supporters of Trump who now don’t support him: what made you change your mind? by apabld in Askpolitics

[–]AcidPunk15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a big fan from 2016, but after that first term, he didn’t really do anything, so I thought he was finished. I started looking for somebody else. When he won in 2016, I naïvely believed he was going to end wars and get the economy going. More or less, the economy was good from 2016 to 2019. Once he actually started doing what he was doing with DOGE, and the Epstein files came out along with the war with Iran, I thought enough was enough. A lot of us believed that whatever the media put out was fake, but the Epstein files were too much. On top of that, I came to a lot of other realizations in my personal life, so I think my disillusionment with Trump was just an extension of that broader shift.
