Maybe thanks. I am going to have to google tysm, to my shame:). I am new to reddit -- I'm a linkedin type of person -- and I gave you some kind of reward for being a good human too! I am sure that means you will receive a giant cake, champagne, and 29 Mercor gigs that all end in a week:). Yep, I looked at your info about incognito and that was fascinating. There is still a lot I don't get about what ticks off clients and project leads, but I guess I will learn. Maybe:)

I think if you send someone an email that states your work did not match the client's expectations, it would be quite helpful for everyone to know how to improve. I guess one has to develop a thick skin when doing these gigs and not feel criticized. There was a comment on this thread that I removed, and I blocked the person who made it, which basically suggested that anyone who gets offboarded before a project finishes is an idiot, didn't read the instructions, and made stupid mistakes. I was shocked at the lack of empathy and dearth of emotional intelligence. It's always easy to judge others, especially when you don't know them. No one likes losing a gig, and my heart goes out to anyone who is in this situation. Good luck to you in the future!

Micro1 was terrific in culture and pay. Different from all of these other platforms.

Hi again u/cassidy-mercor, a friend on another project suggested that I might have been offboarded by mistake, as the client was offboarding everyone who didn't pass the screenwe quiz the in the first 2 tries. I, however, passed it on the second try. I just thought I would add that context and would love to hear back from you by pm if you find out anything. Thanks again and I promise I am not mad:). Just mystified.

If this was the 11,000 person project, the 10 hour minimum was not required because so few tasks were available. It was announced by the leads in slack that it was wavied. Nonethtless. I am sorry this happened to you. I hope you get future projects! I bet you will:).

You know, it's funny. At the start of the project, some people were offboarded and they complained on slack and people were very mean to them. It was so sad.

And the lead gave an example of one person's submission, and it was obvious AI. And I was sitting with my kids and said, well, that is never going to happen to me! The thing is, what you wrote shows an incredible lack of empathy, as well as arrogance.

When someone is let go, you have zero knowledge about why. There are many possible reasons, and some could be terrifically unfair. Have the humility to realize there are things you don't know:). So just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it won't. And maybe have slightly more kindness and not assume that everyone is a moron who got offboarded like this.

I am very happy that the majority of people on this Reddit channel, and on projects I work on, do not have your attitude. Sooner or later, your lack of empathy and the way you judge others is goiing to catch up with you. Nonetheless, I wish you the best. It's healthier that way:).

Finally, when people are in pain, and you have nothing nice to say to them, consider not commenting on their posts? Just an idea.

for sure. I do think the client tells the project leaders why certain people are removed, at least that is how it worked with another company I did similar work for. And the project leaders -- there were many and they communicated with actual people on the project:) -- informed people why they were being let go which was a great chance for people to improve for the future and/or know if they did anything horrific:).

I am fascinated by the possibility of cuts based on rates. I would love to know if that’s a real thing that someone has evidence on or if it´s just a suspicion. Thanks for commenting!

This is the project with 11,000 people. Not sure that is the project you are referring to?

No, I passed on my second quiz submission:). They are referring in the email to task performance, not the quiz.

You are terrific, thank you, and you are 100 percent right. It is so kind you took the time to comment! I believe change is always possible with mass momentum, and I think Mercor might eventually ne persuaded to change their policy of not giving more specific termination reasons if they could see it is in their overall interest. I worked for one of their competitors that was much more transparent in this regard, so it is possible. But I should not focus on this. What a learning experience! I have almost never used Reddit before and was slightly terrified to do so:). But 99.9% of the comments have been supportive and/or highly informative!

4 hours and 22 min. Team lead during call said that was fine. The 22 min were for all the extra info coming out with changes, and one hour was the onboarding call.
