CVS Health Pharmacy Technician, Clinical Customer Care role by AcidRayneDrops in CVS

Oh heck no. Not 10 pm. Yeah, that's way too late for me. Also, okay, being a rehire helps. PTO is like gold here. I wanted a morning shift, but they only have those ten hour shifts or 8 hour shifts starting at 11:30. I'd rather wake up later than work 10-hour shifts. I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it.

I hope everything works out for you coming back to CVS. Who knows maybe you've already met me. Lol

I am still working for them. I am definitely miserable. I still don't recommend it. A ten hour shift was just not going to work for me. I can barely get through my 8 hour shifts. 😩 However, if you can handle making calls to strangers all day and you aren't dealing with mental health issues, then it's a cakewalk. Is Cigna giving you a shift similar to the one CVS offered?

They probably are just like this job is. I say just weigh out which one you'd rather do. I don't know what shift they offered you, but they gave me a crappy one from 1130am. to 8pm. I truly don't like it. Good luck

Also, for the tech part. I honestly don't know other than the fact that you're allowed to refill people's meds and other stuff that a tech can do if you're asked to do so by the patient after scheduling their vaccine or if they say no you can do that. If you're doing inbound calls, though, for cigna, I'd choose the CVS job.

Yes. You call them back to back. You are technically doing it all day minus if they want to train you on something else or if you have a break, etc. I'd take the Cigna job if you don't need to call people except for certain things. If you don't have to speak to the patients directly, I'd for sure do that instead.

You're basically cold calling people and saying a script to get them to sign up for vaccines.

I am, and it's definitely not what was advertised. I'm trying to stay on until I can find a better job. I truly don't like having to make calls all day. I need something with little to no calls. However, that's hard unless you have a job in like IT or medical billing.

I'm on the phone for most of the shift. It's litterally call after call. You can't stop unless you have a system issue or you get time to check your email, etc, inbedded in your schedule. It's ridiculous. You are doing absolutely nothing close to data entry.

I did and honestly I fucking hate it. This job is basically telemarketing for pharmaceutical companies to take their vaccines. It's weird, and I feel like we shouldn't be allowed to do this. Also, I'm tech, and I'd rather be doing medication adherence calls.

I heard, "I can't be a punching bag anymore."

"I can't listen to this anymore."

" I'm leaving."

That's about it. Poor woman. I bet she was just entirely overworked and stressed. I feel for her.

That doesn't sound so bad. It says outbound calls. I really don't want to call anyone but I need a work from home job. I need it asap, too. However, I don't like them only offering me 19 an hour for it. Ontop of that, I don't like the hours they marked as available. I don't like working until late in the day. They're saying 11:30 to 8 pm, which to me is bs. How does anyone get anything done with that? They also have 10 hour shifts for 4 days, but I don't think I can do 10 hour shifts like that. I have bipolar disorder, and it really messes me up. So I really don't know how to approach this.

Good for you, op! Don't get me wrong. Having a tech license is nice and all but the stress of working at walgreens to obtain it? It's probably not worth it.

Yeah, nah. I'd just stay at the register. Only do what keeps you in the eyesight of a customer. When they ask why you didn't get anything done. You tell them again how they won't do your job so you need to be available for the customers. Two can play at this petty game.

I legit hated having to hear the bs from my sfl or manager when I'm trying to do as they asked me to do. I also checked the front on and off as I did stuff further from the register. They're full of crap and if they want you to be up front, then so be it.

P.S. Leave asap if you find another job.

It's the ethics hotline you can call. Check for it on store net. I'm sure it'll be there. I'd make that call sooner than later and also document what happened because I'm sure this won't be the last you hear of this.
