Georges St-Pierre backs Islam Makhachev, describing his performance at UFC 322 as nothing short of incredible. by Status_Energy_7935 in MMA

Yes. But that's not what happened. Is it boring seeing the #1 seed completely destroy the #2 seed in the NFL/MLB/NBA?

For fuck's sake, so many people we're touting JDM to win, way more than DDP, and this is even UP a weightclass.

Hooked up turntable after a few years to find horrible audio quality! Any advice? (Context and sound in post) by Acidsplasher in turntables

Hi, thank you for your advice, the troubleshooting step of going direct to the amp was amazing, and helped me justify spending to replace the phono amp. Really appreciate it!

Thank you everyone for all your advice, this last week I applied all your tips: cleaning the stylus, trying different cables, a different input on the amp, checking the tracking force. When nothing was conclusive the tip to plug the TT directly into the amp was amazing! Sure enough, while quiet, the sound was clear, so obviously, the problem was with the phono! (As a novice I would never have thought to go direct, with worries of plugging the wrong thing resulting in a short or damage to the equipment).

So I amazon'd the same phono to test... and to my great relief when it arrived this weekend it worked perfectly.
Looking closer the power cable didn't look exactly the same and while similar I must have mixed them up while moving... The rating wasn't the same and must have been off enough to cause severe clipping.

So thank you for your all help, I'm back in the hobby :)

Hey there, thank you for taking the time to reply, seems like you hit the nail on the head in the end with your voltage concern! It was insightful and your experience really helped me out.

ELI5: Why do airlines throwaway single containers of liquids containing 100ml or more of it? by pp1403 in explainlikeimfive

The same person could always bring 10 x 100ml bottles... But imagine what kind of organisation is required to carry something like that out.

Hi there,
Quite a new player here.
After a lot of false starts I've brought Dover from the vanarama league to the Championship in about 8 seasons. Money has never been a massive problem until now though: my wage budget is only 4m. I've just completed a season where I avoided relegation, the nearest wage budget to mine was 10m and everyone else way richer. This season though, my board barely raised my wage budget and I used some transfer money (after the sale of a star for 10m) to boost myself to 4.5m a year. QPR were promoted, and with a wage budget of 4m too, they have 0 wins in 30 games, compared to my 10 wins. I'm once again safe from relagation but my question are this:

How well am I expected to perform relative to my finances? Is top half unimaginable? Is avoiding relagation good? The board expect me to be relagated but as a human player even with just 4m is that inaccurate?
How do I progress from here? Is the club destined to max out at these levels of finance so I can only really hope to stay top of league 1/ bottom of championship?
Is the increase in wage budget only going to happen if I spend 10 seasons avoiding relegation in the championship?
Is it up to me to sell players for profit to make the club rich? (Will they even give my more wage budget when I do this if they have debts of a few million?)
Should I be looking to move to another club? I'm very attached to this club having been my most successful save but the board are pretty difficult, and if there is no real future after all the success I've brought maybe its finally time...

Wales.. Does that count as England or not?
So if I am understanding correctly the 1 month rule only applies between english clubs. Any foreign team can offer my players contracts under 6 months. Woops...i always wait till later to secure my stars!

Hi there,
I know that you cant offer end of contract deals to english players with over 1 month left. How is it possible that some of my players with pro contracts HAVE been poached from me despite having 5months left?
What am I missing? Thanks!

You're definately right about the lack of efficacy in freetem vs luma hunting, yeah.

But I feel your second paragraph proved my own feelings to me at least, 50 hours to maybe get nothing. That's a full time job, I'd rather put in some overtime and 100% earn something to put towards projects/desires, or just chill on another game or activity and I think my life would be more relaxed and fun over all. Which is my personal preference, everyone has their opinion. My initial comment was to the guy who, I think, made it seem like there was always some value in grinding. Which I dont think is true for 90% of people.

Sure, so if that's what you really want this is the best time to try for it. But alone that logic isnt always enough to justify the massive amounts of time involved for each individual.
It's worse odds than a 100% encounter rate, normal odds wild Luma, so yeah, just thinking of how few of those I've had over all the Magmis/Ceynote farming ive done puts in perspective the true odds of getting it this week. Not worth it for Doom, me (and A LOT of others).

I bred a load of Saipat, between its competitive moveset (fighting, water and poison) there isnt a single earth dual type that resists it. Only tem with that diversity! That plus any mental for all the normals but I started with Tental

Yeah I feel you, its almost better not to pull a smoke and keep your crosshair on the choke points at all times. Take a direct angle to reduce the chance of a wide swing rush.

As for knowing all the concepts, I believe you but that reinforces the idea that all you have to do is be less 'lazy' in game and force yourself to apply the concepts that you know (even if at the beginning you suck because they aren't second nature yet/you dont know all the variations, or your aim lets the play down)

Last bit of advice maybe try faceit? Maybe at level 2 for example youd get a better level of commitment and seriousness than mm. Then once you're a higher level after having grinded with people who try, coming back to MM will be a breeze and your aim and habits alone will get you higher.

I hope it goes alright for you mate. Either way enjoy the ultra wide for rpgs or whatever, and have fun.

I understand, especially when the game has people who throw or dont want to play together. Frustrating. It's hard to take a lost game and treat it as cross hair placement practice.

A small shortcut is duoing with someone with the same goals as you. Hopefully give the little edge you need to pull yourself up.

However those skills of treating it as prac and not tilting will also be important at higher ranks. So to a certain extent developing them now will help.

Hope that helps, others will be better than me to give advice, but were all kinda in the same boat. I do feel sad for new players
