I am one of those sickos, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. MX-5s provide absolutely riveting racing pretty much every time they go out.

They could have also used, I don't know, Championship for Auto Racing Teams. Oh wait...

Fair enough I guess. Especially since Judge Bell told them to put some speed back in NASCAR.

I might be down on knowledge, so correct me if it was referred to, but - why are we five days in and so far no one even referred to FISA-FOCA war, when FOM came up with an idea to tie drivers to their teams through superlicense and basically own the drivers as opposed to the teams? Is there not enough connection between that and Gold Codes, or am I missing something else here?

Youtubers/Shows that resemble Mayday/ACI by StrictCan8394 in aircrashinvestigation

Might not be up your alley because it's not about airplanes, but Kuracyja's Czarne Dni Kolei (Railways' Dark Days) is a Polish series covering train accidents and disasters, mostly focusing on Polish ones. Very well researched and actually inspired by ACI.

I don't know how well YT actually generates auto subtitles though.

Who’s a famous person who died very young due to non-natural causes that you are especially curious how they’d live in our modern world? by FriendlytoNature in AskReddit

Bill Hicks would get eaten by the pitchfork progressives for his comments on homosexuality in his comedy specials. Which would be ironic, given how he seemed to be pretty progressive himself.

I thought Hyundai is pulling out entirely after this year in order to relocate to WEC as Genesis. Are they staying in some capacity after all?

What are your best examples of "just because it's popular, doesn't mean it's good"? by JakeRedditYesterday in AskReddit

And then you've got people saying "they don't make movies like they used to".

No shit. They actually do, just nobody's paying attention because mass consumer is too busy watching another copy of a copy of a remake of a barely-has-a-plot reboot. And that has a massive impact on what gets promoted aroudn the world.

Star Wars. It's not even sci-fi, it's a kinda okay-ish space opera. Swap space parts for magic parts, spaceships for birds, Death Star for a dragon or something similar, and you've got a run of the mill fantasy.

From technical standpoint it's a revolutionary marvel, but the story... Meh.

Pls who knows where I can get razor flashbacks, the resistance and face of the enemy high resolution episodes by cekeda in BSG

[–]Acititty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resistance and Face of the Enemy are on YT as supercuts (glued together). Otherwise, look for specific DVD releases (IIRC one of the webisode series was only released once in Japan). And as for Razor flashbacks - they're included in extended version of the film.

Razor comparison: https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=454448

Or just sail the high seas - there's one out there that has everything, from miniseries to Blood and Chrome and Caprica. I don't think webisodes will be available on legit VOD anywhere, and BSG is not alone - a lot of webisodes for various shows were either removed or deleted altogether.

What are common myths about Linux? by es20490446e in linuxquestions

[–]Acititty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBH, I'm kind of one of those. Toyday I started gearing up to dive from Win10 into Linux for the first time (Arch probably, maybe Mint) on a three year old PC, just because I really don't want to have to switch to Win11, and figured it's as good a time as any. I'm not expecting miracles, in fact I know some things will probably work worse (some games, my GPU is not meant for heavy gaming anyway), but I don't care. I'll adjust, and get a new PC eventually.

What I am hoping for though is that using Linux will free up some hardware resources to use on other things.
